Lovely 2 night stay
From the moment of arrival to time we left everyone made us feel welcome. Room was comfortable and suited our needs. Very nice to have cookies for arrival. The food was delicious throughout our stay. We hope to return very soon . Thank you

Excellent find!
Lovely pub, great room, excellent service. Good food, albeit a little pricey. The only negative is that the doorway into the bathroom in room 1 is VERY low, resulting in a nasty bump on the head. Would be an idea to either put some foam here or, at least, a highlight to warn people!!!!

Ideal stop over in lovely village
A very nice welcoming pub/restaurant with rooms. Ideal in winter when windows are closed, as it is next to quite a busy local road. Huge open fireplace, nice staff, excellent breakfast, roast dinner. Setting is lovely, with easy parking and church bells nearby.

Restless night!
Convenient location but very thin walls in room 7 - so heard every sound & creek from the next door room guests including snoring and young child early morning. Shower very weak and temperature went up and down so very hard to enjoy a consistent comfortable shower!

An oasis in the middle of nowhere
Booked here at the last minute, after previous arrangements had been cancelled. Never heard of Hinton but was pleasantly surprised. It resembled a typical English village. The Grosvenor Arms was a delightful old pub/restaurant with accommodation. A lovely overnight stay

First impressions were great but felt let down.
Lovely warm welcome and delicious evening meal however my stay was overshadowed by the fact my room (9) had no hot water. Despite the best efforts of the staff to fix this issue I had no hot water for the duration of my stay. I’d had a long day at work and needed to leave early the next day and I was able to have a shower or Bath. This is not what I’d expect from a room costing over £100 per night. I was offered a free orange juice and lemonade for my trouble which didn’t really cut it to be fair. Also, the WiFi in my room was terrible and kept disconnecting.

Fab place to stay. 10 stars.
AMAZING STAY and fantastic food. Will be back. Comfy bed, quiet room. Food delicious. Staff really friendly. The inn is old and full of history. Will stay again for business without a doubt. Super place to come to explore the countryside.

Lovely large room with double and single bed. Very tastefully decorated with luxury furniture.new and clean.fresh milk and homemade cookies on arrivals for coffee/tea. Bottled water also provided.very good breakfast. Very pleasurable stay. Friendly staff.

Great gastro pub hotel in lovely village.
Great country pub in beautiful village, large modernised room with good facilities. Staff were lovely despite it being very busy during a heatwave. We had dinner - good menu with gluten free options and enormous breakfast. Loved our night there and woukd definitely return.

Fabulous stay
Absolutely fantastic stay, thank you to Guy and the team. Beautiful room, spacious, lots of thoughtful extras. Managed to squeeze us in for dinner last minute too despite it being Valentine’s Day! Staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault it

Nice room and good breakfast. Main problem was the internet which had such a weak signal in the bedroom it rendered it too unreliable to use. Fir this reason I would definitely not stay here again. It is a problem that they have obviously chosen to not deal with which is easily remedied.

Nice for overnight stay
Friendly, helpful staff making sure our stay was Covid-safe and enjoyable. Nice breakfast. Our only problem was that it wasn't the quietest of stays - the windows let a lot of noise in from the road and the family above us were very noisy late into the night.

This hotel was a last minute choice after the original one stayed closed. we booked a family room but that’s the only thing that is family oriented about the place. They do not have a children’s menu not even an offer to make smaller portion. The food was great but there is no chance I’m paying £10.50 for the cheapest pizza for a 4 year old. This meant we are else where for our second night. If you ask me there loosing out on trade. The room was ok but not the family one in the pictures. Was woken up at 1am with the staff having a moan whilst closing down and having a cigarette outside our window. Breakfast was good but could do with 2 staff working and not 1.

Fuldstændig fantastisk
Fantastisk beliggenhed og virkelig smukt og dejligt værelse. Imødekommende personale og fremragende service. Både aftensmad og morgenmad var i top. Dejligt med ungt og servicemindede personale. Så smukt og virkelig i flot stand for så smuk en kro. Vi kan kun anbefale alle en lille ferie eller overnatning jeg.
