"At dawn and dusk a herd of elk complete with the buck appeared in the grounds. Such a wonderful treat! This is on the edge of a very small town, so you may want to carefully plan meals with your day’s activities. We cooked most of the time but enjoyed wonderful Mojo’s pizza baked in a wood fired oven in the food truck in the center of Orick. The home was just perfect for us located right on the highway and in the middle of the national park so we had very easy access to all we wanted to do. The house had all the supplies we needed. Charlene was very responsive to our questions and provided helpful tips. This was in our top 3 most wonderful vacations."

"Kenu house is amazing!! It was very fresh, clean and cozy. Beds and linen were very comfortable. Kitchen was beautiful and well appointed. Charlene was very friendly, responsive and provided good information for local activities, both verbally, in the guest book and online before our arrival. The house is centrally located to the Redwoods, a few towns and many beaches, making it easy to do multiple activities each day while still having time to relax and enjoy the house. Big kitchen table for games, puzzles and meals. At night, we curled up on the couch to watch movies while enjoying the electric fireplace. Loved seeing the elk from our windows! Our group of 3 adults and 1 dog really enjoyed our time here! We definitely recommend Kenu house in the Heart of the Redwoods and would stay here again!"

"I was impressed on how clean it was. Lovely little garden in the back. Decorated nicely as well. Appreciated the scent free laundry. Olivia communicated very well. Would highly recommend this place."
Contemporary farmhouse in Redwood National Park

"Fantastic location for a Redwood adventure. Farmhouse is located in the National Park, close to popular trails (two trailheads start steps from the property). Host was very responsive and offered great tips. House is cozy and had everything we needed.We are two 60-year-olds and stayed in the bedroom on the main level. There are additional twin beds in the loft. Note the listing description--accessible only via ladders. Not suitable for young children--or for people our age who may need to climb down in the night. ;)It was the perfect place to relax after a day in the woods. I would absolutely stay again and will recommend this property to others who may be visiting this gorgeous national park. Thank you to our host!"

"We had a wonderful time. The place was inviting and had a lot to offer for a fun family experience. The garden offered a great place to watch bees and butterflies flying from flower to flower. The fruit trees brought in birds. The creek had small fish and crawfish to watch and try to catch and release. The trail to the creek was manageable for my 4yo on his own if he didn't have anything in his hands. The creek had swimming holes that were deep and small rapids for the kids to go down on tubes. The hostess was very responsive and kind. Given the option we would love to return at a future date."
