Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good and staff again helpful. However room was dated, full ash tray left on balcony, weeds growing out of ground on balcony, air conditioning too loud. Property needs updating.

Location was good if you had a car as they have parking you can pay for. They are poorly organized when it comes to check in and not all staff are friendly or helpful. Coming from some hotels who were extremely kind and accommodating it just feels like they missed the mark.

Decent value for location to the old town. Internet access always reliable. Not much in terms of food options around the hotel. Close to train station. Room was outdated. Faced the back so was quiet. AC doesn’t work when window is open. Not super strong AC, but did the trick with 32 degree days.

Solid hotel - Good value

The hotel was as expected from the Holiday-Inn brand (i.e., good). Great breakfast, location close to key attractions and transportation (train), service friendly and effective. Quiet.

Everything about the hotel was good. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. Easy walk into the centre and bus stops outside the hotel . The number 2 bus was a 30 minute ride from the airport snd stopped close to the hotel.

Good location in Salzburg near to a Number 2 bus stop that runs to and from the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also within about a 20 minute walking distance from the centre of Salzburg.

Hotel was clean and close to transportation (Number 2 bus) that took you to main tourist area of Salzberg called Mirabell Schloss. Aldstadt was a short walk from Mirabell Schloss. Hotel was old and not completely updated. Temperature in the room was cold and you could tell that the rooms were old. However, it was clean and the staff was helpful. We did not try the food in the hotel and there are no other restaurants nearby that I noticed. So, if you want to be very near to the Aldstadt, this hotel is not for you, but probably a lot less expensive. Nevertheless, can get there easily by bus (and can also get to the Salzburg main train station to go other places).

The staff were very helpful providing us with tour information, answering our questions and arranging taxis. The room was comfortable and clean. The views of the mountains and Salzburg from the room were lovely.

It is quiet und Clean The mattress is hard but the blanket is quite thick and comfortable. The bath is old. That should be a renovation for the bath facilities.

The hotel was very nice. The room was clean, air conditioning was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast one morning but it was very expensive in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in. Being charged for underground parking seemed unfair as there was only 10 free spaces outside the hotel and other guests had not parked responsibly. The hotel was in a great location for exploring Salzburg.

It was a nice and clean hotel. The only downside was that we asked one day of cleaning during our 3 day stay. We only received new towels, but the cleaning lady didn’t renew the bodywash that was empty. We left the dispenser open without the pump so it was clearly visible and she didn’t vacuum. If you clean you should check everything. Other than that it was a nice hotel on a good location on a 10 minute walking distance of the city Centre, train station and the old town.

The room was clean and very spacious. The staff were friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. Breakfast is amazing but not worth 19 euros. There were a few English channels on the TV. I was really impressed with the amenities (Dove body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, and body lotion). The gym was well-equipped and always available. The only con was that our room key stopped working halfway and that the shower drain was clogged and was not fixed even though we asked twice.

there was not alot of food places around hotel to access - had to walk 15 mins to get to area for food. Food was limited at hotel. Bed was comfy, lots of space inside, safe was handy to store passports etc., but AC was not working and it faced the sun directly- so it was a sauna- muggy and hot- hard to sleep- had to call front staff to help- they found the AC unit was not working- so they gave us a fan which helped to give a breeze to cool us off-but felt like hot outdoor camping. Closed the blinds during the day to try to help in the reduction of heat- did a little. if it wasn't for that part the stay would have been better.

We had a little bad experience. The rooms were not well lit. Hot water kettle was dirty from inside and they refused to clean it or change it. We had to go down ourselves to change it or to get hot water. Shortage of staff. Did not have a very pleasant experience.

Our room was really warm and when I called down to ask about how to work the AC, I was told that it being March 10, the AC wasn’t turned on yet. However, the hallways, fitness center, and common areas were all cool, so I don’t believe the AC was not turned on in the building. We had to leave the window open and request a fan to cool down the room to a comfortable level. Further, I was asked upon check-in if we wanted cleaning service during our stay but our room was never cleaned. Not a huge deal, but I’m trying to give an honest and fair review. The customer service was a bit lacking and next time I’m in Salzburg I’ll likely be looking for another option for a hotel.

Decent location, but wouldn’t stay again.

While the hotel staff was friendly and the lobby is nice, the rest of the hotel is in need of an update and a deep cleaning, to include replacing heavily worn furniture and changing carpet flooring to some other type of flooring. We had a corner room facing the mountain, which offers a decent view until the sun was facing the side of the building where the room did not have automatic shades. The curtains should be replaced with blackout curtains to help keep the heat from the sun out. The air conditioner barely cooled the room at all and ended up leaking water heavily down the wall and onto the thermostat, which could have been a major hazard. Overall, given the repair of the room and uncomfortable heat due to the AC issues, the cost for the room was way out of a reasonable range for the quality.

Holiday inn Salzburg is just off city centre on a quiet stretch of road but not badly located as you can walk to most places or get the bus. There are local convenience shops & restaurants so overall the location is ok. I requested a high floor when booked and was acknowledged by the hotel but did not get one. Instead got 1st floor which not only had a communal terrace/balcony but the view was terrible. The terrace could do with some cleaning & maintenance. Outside the rooms is a large open corridor which echos but also the hotel has placed communal tables & chairs which attracts guest to sit outside the room & were noisy. The doors slam which is annoying as well, in general the hotel is noisy. The rooms are clean & comfortable enough but they do not get serviced unless requested, this wasn't clear, by the time we realised it was too late. The air conditioning did not work or the bathroom extractor fan. The main redemption is the buffet breakfast which is excellent since ours was included in our booking. Lots of choice & everything you need to fill you up for the start of the day. The staff are very good also, very polite & helpful. One evening we ordered a Nockerl dessert from the restaurant, was quoted 20 minutes wait but took over an hour. Was completely overcooked, sunken & tasteless so this was really disappointing but the waiter knew & removed this from our bill. I would actually stay here again if i could ensure a decent room as the value was good.
