San Jose del Valle Holidays

I would recommend avoiding this hotel. I had booked a hotel room and when I went to check in they found my name but there was a technical error that did not register my booking. At this point I was told that there hotel was full and I could not stay even though I showed my booking confirmation code and showed my identification. The reception staff apologised for this and stated thay there was nothing more that they could do. The staff helped direct me into the Gibraltar jurisdiction.

Lovely spot. Ideal for a relaxing break. A little isolated in so much as either a car or taxi required to go anywhere to eat and drink other than the hotel itself. Lovely look and feel, we have stayed on a number of occasions. Nice pool and garden areas and indoor and outdoor bar areas. Small gym. Well appointed and spaclous rooms with terraces and balconies. Pet friendly and great areas for pets to explore.

Poorly managed property - understaffed throughout particularly in the restaurant. Never known a hotel bar to close at 11pm each night. For the price paid very disappointed.

The Room and hotel looks excellent, super comfortable bed, stunning bathroom facilities & waterfall shower (helpful bathroom necessities in the draws). Mini bar and the cutest surprise cheesecake in our room upon arrival! (It was Delicious!) The Property was very clean and beautifully styled. Views of the marina were gorgeous and lovely staff. 24hr gym, and roof top pool was lovely with towels ready on the shaded loungers. There were a few things I felt was missing but nothing that takes away from this gorgeous hotel. Unfortunately upon arrival when checking in we didnt get confirmation that the buffet breakfast was included with our stay. This was the biggest shame as we ended up looking for somewhere to eat each morning for breakfast and we would have much preferred to have had the breakfast we had already paid for at the hotel. There was no price list for the mini bar or welcome pack with information about the spa/rooftop terrace hours. The cleaner did a gorgeous job but did only clean the room once on our 4 night trip which I felt maybe it would have been nice to have a fresh bed each day. Finally we did ask for a taxi to be booked but unfortunately this was forgotten when we arrived downstairs at the booked time and we were on a tight schedule for a wedding. Luckily another couple attending was able to take us. Overall a gorgeous stay just a few minor things and our stay would have been absolutely perfect!

We stayed 1 week, paid 20k$ for a 3 bedroom Suite, pool was not usable as full of algae, when complained they tried to clean it and then the water was dirty. Houskeeping is inconsistent, one day they have a trun down, the other day not, breakfast is sometimes a zoo, everyone running around and waiting times of 10-15min for a coffee, cold coffee.. building is nice, staff has zero passion to make your stay nice and if you complain not much happens.
