"such a fun, safe, family friendly hotel! super close to the airport and the beach!! the walk from the hotel is about 10 minutes, not bad at all, and when you get to the beach they have towels, umbrellas, and chairs for hotel guests! the beach was beautiful and the water was so pretty and blue! there is a pharmacy/store on the way which was perfect for grabbing drinks, snacks, boogie boards, etc! we spent hours at the pool it was clean and the poolside bar/ restaurant was delicious and the staff where so so so nice! our experience was amazing, only downside was the power went out 2x but honestly it was no big deal, it turned back on immediately and didn’t effect anything but the tv (no signal for 10-15 min) however it was super super windy outside so it wasn’t a surprise! the breakfast was alright, but the omelet bar really pulled through! the 2 free happy hour drinks a day and snack make it as close to “all inclusive” i feel you can get for the price and area!! we travelled as a family of 5 with a 6 year old and had the best time! also shout out to east island excursions!! they are a catamaran company that has transportation from the pharmacy down the road to the port and a boat trip, snorkeling, and stops at flamenco beach! it was AMAZING! all around a 10/10 vacation! definitely recommend for families looking for a great priced hotel! we did the double queen suite with the pull out! such a great spacious room! we will be returning!"

Fairmont El San Juan Hotel

"Our stay at the Fairmont El San Juan was a great experience from start to finish. The property is beautiful, with a classic tropical feel that really makes you feel like you’re on vacation. The pools were clean and well maintained, the beach access was convenient, and the location in Isla Verde made it easy to explore the area while still feeling like a relaxing getaway. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean. We also appreciated the variety of restaurants and bars on the property, which made it easy to find something for everyone. One of the highlights was how lively the resort felt in the evenings, with great entertainment and a fun atmosphere without feeling overcrowded. Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation and would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to Puerto Rico. Thank you to the Fairmont El San Juan team for helping make our trip memorable!"

"The hotel was great and we enjoyed our stay. It does need some upkeep here and there. The beach was a bit underwhelming - a narrow stretch, with rocks in the water that can easily hurt your feet. While the water is very calm, the rocks can be a bit hard to navigate for younger kids. The pool was great but needed more upkeep. We arrived on July 4th and the pool area was packed. I noticed empty plastic cups in the bushes near the pool and even came across a plastic lid on the bottom of the pool. Some people had left their empty plastic cups near the edge of the pool. It was not a great first look, I must admit, but it got better during our stay, with fewer people around. The hotel needs to either incentivize people to bring their used pool towels back or have more personnel pick up the used towels. We found many pool chairs covered with wet towels, which made it hard to know if the person was still there or not. On the positive side, the fish pond and piano in the Garden wing were an absolute hit with my boys. We had fun feeding the fishes and the turtles and looking at the friendly iguanas roaming around. The ice cream shop, which is open 24 hours and also offers sandwiches, coffee and smoothies, is amazing. I recommend if you want a cheaper snack or breakfast than what the pricey restaurants in the hotel offer. Having a Starbucks there was also great. The stores were nice too, but overpriced."
