Beautiful, cozy and clean. Staff is so friendly and gave me a great recommendation for coffee the next morning. Shout-out to cafe cuatro sombras for the delicious latte and empanada! Highly recommend staying here. It's a gem.

Property has a great location. Place is beautiful. Great staff. Only thing I'd suggest is to ensure to curtain rods are replaced to allow for the balconies to open and accessible. Balconies couldn't be open because the rods were hanging low and the balcony door will get stuck with it.

Great location! There an empanada shop right across the street which made for a great breakfast every morning. However..... the noise from the street at night was LOUD... it sounded like people were partying in your room, and I am quite a heavy sleeper! We booked the presidential suite and the toilet did not function properly for our entire 4 day stay despite it being "fixed" twice. We had to refill the back of the toilet between every flush. While I personally would not stay here again, it served it's purpose... I suppose.

This place is very cute and well maintained for being more than 100 years old. Their location is perfect for whoever wants to explore old San Juan. There are restaurants, souvenir shops and also parking within walking distance. They have a small kitchen where they offer free coffee and hot chocolate for guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were clean, the bathroom was also clean . Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Fortaleza and we highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed the centric location and the ability to load and unload baggage without ubstructing traffic. This is necessary, particularly if you are traveling solo. I was able to find curbside parking not too far from the property. The staff was cool and courteous. I shall return. Great price for the location by the way.

A very authentic old building. Modestly clean. Staff were friendly. Rooms were visually cute and nice. My problems: -The lights flickered sometimes when left on longer than 30 minutes -Fridge didnt get cold -water was not hot consistently in shower and sink -communal kitchen -the bed was as firm as the floor - no TP holder in the bathroom upon arrival -I could hear people outside my room at all hours of the day just talking.
