Haven Hotel

6/10 Okay

"Room had frosted windows to hide the view into the central area and dirty flaking exterior paint etc EV chargers very expensive. Breakfast staff not much attention to detail, not keeping things topped up etc. Glass bins emptied early in the morning (contrary to hotels own policies) which was very noisy. Hot tub and pool area were nice though."

"Poor check in …, staff good …but lack of reception desk ..felt like we sorted our selves out …. Breakfast staff good but restaurant felt hot stuffy … choice of “grey decor “ dim and depressing …: poor quality ingredients for breakfast …. Single coffee machine led to queues"

"Excellent location near the beach and pier. The outdoor garden is spacious and lovely on a sunny day. The indoor pool and hot-tub are very nice but a shame that residents have to pay £5/day to use them. The bar, dining room and entertainment rooms are well maintained. Our bedroom was small and definitely needed some refurbishment, but was adequate for a 2 nights stay."

"Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Pool was much needed in the heatwave. Feel this is a bit of a victim of its own success. It draws a certain clientele and doesn’t feel exclusive and for the price it should do. Pool needed cleaning. Otherwise head and shoulders above all the other Bournemouth hotels. View was of the travelodge carpark"

"Amazing views over Poole! We ate dinner at the hotel as we wanted to enjoy the view. Breakfast was busy which is to be expected as I think all room rates include breakfast- they had to pause taking orders for 5/10 mins as the chef had too many orders . It would be a good idea to ask guests to book a time for breakfast in order to avoid a sudden influx at one time. Lots of stuff ran out and staff members seemed stressed. The rooms very very nice with great jet bath. Air con worked well. As it's an old hotel the floor boards above us were a bit noisy and walls were thin. But the king size bed was very comfy. Would definitely return. Dinner was lovely and the waiter was great. It would have been nice to have the option to dine outside but apparently there weren't enough staff. Great location for the beach."

"Hotel very central and short walk to the beach. WiFi not strong, we struggle to get a signal. Bed the mattress needs updating but nice shower. Breakfast ok standard English breakfast. Parking very crowded as not hotel exclusive. We spent over 1 hr trying to get a space one day. Overall stay ok."

"A perfectly placed hotel for exploring Bournemouth beaches. The restaurant was nice not huge selection but nice and freshly cooked. Breakfast was a good mix. Staff were fantastic. Especially Holly at front desk- she was so friendly and kind. Gave us tips to get to the best part of a beach nearby saving us loads of time and stress. Helped us get extra pillows for the room. The superior room was really lovely , clean and air conditioned was perfect for heat wave ! Will def stay here again when we return to Bournemouth"
