"Juan Carlos’ house is a lovely property. Nicely modern, but with lots of historic features. The

is fairly small, but great for us and our four children to plunge into to cool off in the 42 degree heat. Bedrooms were good sizes. Kitchen was not large, but was well equipped (a larger bin inside would be good). Would also be lovely in winter due to wood pellet burning stoves throughout. Village is fairly small, but some lovely restaurants and smaller bars. Cheap to eat out. No good...

"We arrived in the dark after a long journey and Laura looked horrified at the 2 dogs as we had reserved a suite which was not dog friendly. She swiftly sorted it out and changed our room. I then enquired about our dinner reservation and she told me that the restaurant was closed as our reservation had not gone through . No bother to Laura, she just said we would have to have something very simple that she would produce. Unbelievably good Iberian Ham, local cheese, quince jam, washed down with...

"Kostenloser Parkplatz und Sauberkeit sind positiv hervorzuheben. Der Ort bietet so gut eie nichts. Wir waren im Nebengebäude untergebracht. Man kommt sich abgeschoben vor, weil es Personal und Frühstück nur im Haupthaus auf der anderen Straßenseite gibt. Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel (dunkle Einrichtung, kleines Fenster, unzureichendes Lampenlicht). Abendessen gibt es erst ab 20.00 Uhr. "

"The Hotel was excellent, but parking is up through some very narrow streets and was full so had to go through thr old town to the public car park. The Hotel though is brilliant, clean, great

, fantastic views of the castle and next to the town square with some excellent restaurants. The location is great to explore the town and cannot fault the location or the hotel. We had a great time and navigating the old streets was interesting. Get directions if you are driving before you go. "

"Like all the Parador hotels in which we stayed , the building ( which was previously a convent ) had lots of character and charm. Very comfortable room , and great location , within easy walking distance of the Plaza Mayor.Would happily;y stay here again. ."
