"Hotel Camburi Praia is a very basic hotel in a small, country village 2hrs south-west of Sao Paulo along the coast. I stayed there for a work engagement. Camburi village is a typical of the area; rustic, weather-beaten, but welcoming enough. You should have some basic knowledge of portuguese though to get by. Hotel Camburi Praia is just off the main street running through the village and about 150m from the beach. It's a very basic hotel (my room 34 was a bit dated, but comfortable enough)....

The staff is amazing and the service is consistently great! The beach is just a 5-minute walk away, and if you’re carrying a lot, they can take you there in a tuk-tuk from the hotel, which is very convenient. "I love this hotel. We had a fabulous time. The hotel is on the beach which is exactly what I was looking for. The staff is helpful and kind. Not all of the staff speaks English - not a problem but good to know. Our room was huge and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of food options.
