Beach/bay getaway

This was the perfect location for a short trip to Long Boat Key. It was close to Harry’s Kitchens, one of our favorite restaurants and deli. The condo was very comfortable and met our needs.

The Longboat Experience

Cozy quarters Nicely decorated Very Quiet Beautiful view of the bay Fantastic pool along with access to pool accessories. Easy walk to ocean across the street. Plenty of chairs at beach area.. Amazing sunsets. Parking was great along with free access of laundry facilities. Manager was accessible and accommodating. Overall a lovely and relaxing stay along with great restaurants in the area.

It was located near family and friends and within walking distance of great restaurants, stores, bike rentals, etc. The owner provided us with a temporary pass to Cedar's Tennis Resort and Club which we, unfortunately, were unable to use but wished we had the chance as the facilities and restaurant looked great. The management was responsive when needed. The grounds were lovely. Our lanai had a wonderful view of the bay. The beach on the gulf side is within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We called the day before to see if we could check in an hour early since we looked online and saw it was vacant. We were told it would be ok but when we got there the office was closed. We called RVA and they contacted the manager who was in the process of getting the condo ready. He was not aware of the early check in. One thing to note..they charge a fee of $50 for damage that is not refundable; even if you don’t do damage...just another way to increase the rental rate. Also, this unit #24 needs to replace the microwave; rust inside. Also, there were dead roaches on the floor when we got there which should have been cleaned up ahead of time...at least they were dead!

This is a well-maintained property with a tropical vibe.

The unit was tidy and clean equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils needed whether for a long weekend or months-long visit. Property has both bay and beach access to beautiful white sand of the Gulf of Mexico.

We chose Beach Castle, since we have rented there i each of the last three winters and love the area. Jeff Merkel is so professional and did a great job handling our needs and getting us checked in on a Sunday. Of course, Ted Palm, Beach Castle's property manager, is the best!
