"We were in Michigan for a special event. Like all places, rates go up significantly for big events. I found this motel. It looked nice and was value priced. It was nice. It was really clean, the location was great for our needs. It was the beginning of the season so were very few people in Douglas. We really enjoyed the area. The beds were comfy. My only complaint was no maid service. I did not expect any but for 3 nights it would have been nice to have the trash taken out. The rooms were cute. Steve was very accommodating. A good place to stay."

"We had a lovely weekend retreat for a group of teacher friends. The kitchen was expertly stocked with plenty of cookingware and a large oven for a homemade breakfast for 11, the space was open and each bedroom and bathroom provided some privacy for a large group. Even though it was only mid April the weather was warm enough to sit on the roof. Easy drive to hiking trails and to Saugutuk for the spring market and a bit of shopping. Alex was super responsive and courteous. Many of our guests were also fans of the hand soap ."
