"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. "Good location (very close to the train station and downtown) and relatively quiet for being located on a major road at a major intersection. The building is nice, solidly constructed with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The room needs some updating in terms of decor and there are little touches that show a lack of very careful attention to maintenance (curtains that aren’t attached completely at the top of the window, dead mosquitoes on the sheer curtains). A little more careful attention to these details would go a long way to improving the first impression. That said, the room was spacious (a corner room -05) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay again on another visit to the Saumur area."

"The property was very well proportioned and furnished. There was generous space in which to socialise and the games room was a big hit. The pool was lovely, with some interesting views into underground caves. Gilles was a charming host, and very helpful too.I would recommend this wonderful home to any large group wishing to explore Anjou."
