We had to extend our stay because we were so comfortable at this hotel. I would highly recommend it to whoever wants to come to the hustle and bustle, but then end up at a quiet area when you’re ready to rest.

This hotel is a small boutique hotel in an amazing area and literally steps to the beach! The room is small, clean and has access to a rooftop with the most incredible views. The pool isn’t huge so we didn’t really use it, but otherwise, super nice!

I was able to check in early which was great. Room needed some maintenance which the hotel did promptly when asked. But - there was no lock on the window and only a door knob lock on the door so I didn't feel safe. Bought some wire to wire the window shut at night. Kitchen was minimally stocked... not enough to actually cook in it but there was a microwave to heat up any leftovers you had. Not a bad area... about a 10 minute walk to the closest beach and about 15 to town. Relatively quiet.

Beautiful little property for a night or two. Staying on the north end really helps if you like a quieter environment during nighttime. A bit of an uphill walk to get to but the place is super clean and comfy.

Sabrina the manager is wonderful. She set up transportation from airport to Sayulita . This was really helpful since this was a first time visiting . The guest hoise is nestled on a hillside so there’s a good amount of walking on cobblestone & dirt to get to the restaurants and to the main square. If you don’t like to walk, you’ll need to rent a golf Cart.

Very nice rooms, kept very clean. Nice to have bottled water in room. Pools were small, top pool was more like a fountain. Beach is super walkable and its pretty quiet.

Our room was beautiful. It is very traditional in design which was very nice. We loved sitting on the patio, checking out the birds and the wildlife. We would love to return to this place in the future.

Great stay.
Really nice boutique hotel on the north end. Everything is walkable in Sayulita. Its quiet, safe and has a nice private pool and jacuzzi. Staff is excellent.

Beautiful unit and surroundings
Beautiful property surrounded by trees with partial sea view from top units. Enjoyed bird watching! Better view from roof terrace. Spacious and well laid out. Comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Pool is small and a little too cool. Hot tub will be heated when you ask for it. Quiet part of town except for birds and roosters. Manager Sabrina was very helpful, great communication. They offer beach chairs, umbrellas and even bicycles. Walking distance to town and 5 minutes to the beach and several restaurants and shops. Would love to come back!

Adorable hotel, kind and accommodating staff. We loved that it was away from the craziness of the main area in Sayulita. There is a lot of walking, but it was helpful after all the Al Pastor tacos :)

Mar y Sueños is a beautiful place, a short walk from downtown, the beach, and restaurants. Sabrina the manager takes such good care of guests. She was easy to get in touch with prior to and during my stay and helped arrange a golf cart rental that was brought to and picked up from the hotel. My room had what I needed and I especially appreciated having a full 5 gallon water dispenser in the room. The Wi-Fi, fan, and AC worked great as well. I loved that this place is close enough to downtown but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.

Yes, we leave our jacuzzi on warm and ask our guests to let us know when they plan to use the jacuzzi so we can turn the heat up and it is ready for them. We leave the water on warm as some guests prefer warm as opposed to hot. Thank you for your input.

Peaceful and quiet place up on the hill. Be prepared for stairs, and nature (including insects or all types). Very beautiful location. Comfy place.

Peaceful
Good location, far enough away from the loud and busy areas. Location is not far from beach and not far up the hill so it made it easy to come-and-go. The suite was nice and clean with good airflow. There was only 1 hot tub and it was not kept hot but rather cold-to-room-temperature. I would stay here again but not for hot-tubbing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write Mar y Suenos a review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our Jacuzzi has a brand new gas heater which is set to keep the water warm. We have large signs both in the reception area and jacuzzi area, asking guests to let us know if they would like the water to be hot the day that they will be using the jacuzzi. Staff then makes sure that the water temperature is hot for their use.

Great view
This is a great spot with ocean views from the roof top. Older type building mexican style. Many bird species live in the area which made the experience even more interesting. Pool is small and water was cold but after a walk on a hot day it felt great. The location is about 5 minutes from the beach, great coffe shop arround the corner in a brand new building. They serve many different lates and very healthy breakbast. Walk to the town center is about 15 minutes.

The staff were friendly and always willing to help us out. Sabrina was always available for us if we needed her. The hotel supplies towels, coolers with ice and umbrellas for the beach, everything you need! Our ac was a bit loud and kept us up at times but that would be our only negative comment. The pool was cold and refreshing and it was a nice 5 minute walk to the beach or restaurants.

Great stay
We had the best, most relaxing stay. My fiancé got sick on our check out date and Sabrina was extremely kind to let us take our time. The property is as advertised, pretty close to everything, however, at night, it can be hard to find. I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel said they didn’t have my Expedia reservation even though I could clearly see on their computer that they had it. They told my that Expedia was suppose to decline the reservation but that didn’t happen. I then spent the rest of my last night in town trying to find a place to stay. After 4 wasted hours I found the worst of worst hotel but I had no choice. Clearly I’m upset about it.

This reservation came in just after our last unit was booked through another agency. Expedia has an option allowing the hotel/establishment to reject the reservation which I did immediately. My understanding was that they would contact the potential guest about the cancellation . This unfortunately was not done and in the future I will not ever use this option. We are very sorry about the inconvenience this caused and had we known there would be no follow through on the part of the booking agency, we would have found a suitable alternative for this individual. Neverthe less, when this individual arrived and we informed them of the situation, we found them other accommodations, which they rejected and we provided a safe place for their belongings for the day. We honor our reservations and take them very seriously and do everything possible to correct and make accommodations for any error.
