Wonderful location, definitely away from it all, so no local amenities to speak of.

Wonderful location, definitely away from it all, so no local amenities to speak of. The apartment is comfortable, though it had been, understandably, stripped of cushions etc due to covid restrictions. We enjoyed our stay here. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Great location if you want to hike in and around Wasdale.

Great location if you want to hike in and around Wasdale. Excellent protocols followed regarding Covid - we felt very reassured that everything possible had been done. Good parking too if you arrive in more than one car. A larger fridge/freezer would have been welcome. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

It's a long way from the shops but if you want a quiet comfy place to spend a week Buckbarrow is excellent. Lots of space, warm, good parking, great views. We had two weeks in the flat this summer and totally enjoy the time. We managed to climb all the local fells and they were spectacular. Highly recommended.

A very lovely apartment.

A very lovely apartment. Fairly small but very well kept, and the garden area is smaller than the pictures too. Doesn't matter too much as you are in the middle of the countryside. In a beautiful location, very idyllic, wonderful views. Very short walk to the edge of Wastwater and brilliant position for walks. Nearest pub about an hour walk through fields and public footpaths or a short drive. The kitchen is very good for cooking and has good storage space and facilities (though could do with a little more cutlery). Lots of parking if you have more than one car. Overall would recommend, a very lovely stay.

Our fourth stay here and we love it! Nothing to do except walk and appreciate the beautiful scenery!

Our fourth stay here and we love it! Nothing to do except walk and appreciate the beautiful scenery! So peaceful! Well equipped although I would prefer a washer to a dishwasher especially if we were there a full week with our grandson .
