"The host was very responsive and friendly. The house was lovely and we couldn't believe how close the ocean we were! Within walking distance to shops and restaurants, with plenty to do around town. It was a great vacation and we look forward to booking another stay in the Beach Bungalow! "

"Had a nice stay in Carpinteria.We needed to check in early in the day and the owner said that it would be fine, but it seemed like they weren't able to get it cleaned in advance. The beds and bathrooms were fine, but there was quite a bit of dust and pet hair throughout the unit and we ended up cleaning the unit ourselves. The owner had been traveling, apologized and gave us a discount. There were 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms that were all very nice. The location was ok, but a bit out of town and near the freeway, not very close to the beach or restaurants. There was parking in the underground garage. The elevator wasn't working and there are a couple of flights of stairs to the unit. There is a balcony with a bbq. We had trouble locking the balcony door, and when we were able to lock it, we couldn't open it again. It was raining, so didn't affect our stay. Also there were neighbors that enjoyed an evening joint, so leaving the door open wasn't going to be a good option for us.Overall, a nice option in Carpinteria, if quite a bit overpriced."

"The location is wonderful -It is so close to the beach and they had everything you would want to enjoy the beach- chairs, umbrella, beach towels, boogie board, etc. "

"Cozy and well appointed room, very clean. Love the beach access and proximity to restaurants. Ventura and Santa Barbara are within easy driving distance. The trains passed infrequently and were short in length. Similarly, the road is fairly busy with trucks passing by but the noise isn't much louder than the ocean and is mostly limited to daytime hours (we slept well every night). The back half of the lower deck is the outdoor area assigned to this unit. The listing pictures show a patio dining set but it was actually a pair of comfortable beach loungers and a large umbrella during our stay. Tall plants offer some privacy between the front rental unit's portion of the deck. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return for a future visit!"
