"I recommend better instructions on how to lock the door. I suggest; instead of stating "pull up on the handle" rephrase to "lift the door handle upwards in a counterclockwise direction", this action is needed to lock the door from the inside and outside."

"Stayed for six nights in August 2026. The property is exceptionally clean and just as shown. Very quiet. Excellent location and views. The food just down the street a couple blocks is much better than normal beach food …namely Thario’s and Padaro Beach Grill. Would definitely come back."

"The house was clean, spacious and had all the things/amenities we needed. The information for check-in arrived late but it was easy and smooth to get into the house. Instructions were clear. Lots of games, DVDs, and activities for families included. It was very close to the Rincon Beach Resort for the wedding we attended. The only thing is the air conditioning was not consistent throughoutnthe house. Some rooms were hot and others were cool."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Salt Creek Cottage! Coleen could not have been easier to work with - so responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. She had great suggestions about where to eat and what to do in Carpinteria. She got back to us immediately to answer any questions we had. The house itself is in a perfect location - a charming block on a quiet street and a short walk to the beach and main street in town where the wonderful shops and restaurants are located. We all slept so well - the beds are incredibly comfortable and windows well-shaded for sleeping in! The couches and chairs in the living room are so cozy, as well - and the kitchen is a nice size and well-stocked, lovely dining room area too. The decor of the house is just beautiful. We appreciated being well-stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, and bath towels. We truly could not have asked for a more perfect house and perfect stay - a wonderful vacation for our group! We can't wait to return and rent this house again. Carpinteria is a lovely town and this house is the perfect rental! Thank you, Coleen!"
