Love the privacy and location. Property is clean and in good condition. 20 minutes from Selfoss for restaurants and grocery stores. The two cute dogs on the property are friendly and playful.

Absolutely wonderful. The place is so cozy and relaxing that we didn’t want to leave. Close drive to many attractions that is less than an hour drive. It’s so spacious and has everything you could possible need. We totally loved the owners’ dogs. Plus it’s only 20 minutes drive to main Selfoss central area.

We loved the location and the sites we wanted to see on the golden circle route were within an hours drive. The heated floors were nice to have during our Winter visit and the kitchen had the things we needed to prepare our meals. The doggie visits were fun and they are very sweet. The property was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing property . Already planing the next trip back , home from home and amazing shower and bed . Bice to come home on a dark evening after a long day and just relax . Kitchen was so well kitted out . It saved so much been able to cook on an evening

Had a great stay here. By far the biggest room we had in Iceland. Communication was great from the owners and check-in/check-out was seamless. Best views of the night sky we had during our trip. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you'll get it here. If I'm being honest, there was a bit of a smell in our bathroom, but I'm guessing this is because it's a septic system. Not uncommon and it wasn't overwhelming.

This was among our favourite stays during our 2 weeks in Iceland. Absolutely gorgeous countryside location without light pollution to see the aurora from our private deck. The cabin was spacious, immaculately clean, and had everything we needed to cook dinner and store groceries (good size fridge and all the kitchen equipment one could possibly need). The heated flooring was delightful - especially after staying out in the cool evening to view the aurora. There are dogs and sometimes puppies on the property, which are extremely friendly and good tempered. We hope to return to Iceland someday and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!

This was our favorite property on our tour of the ring road. The home was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The towels were larger than any other place and softer. The site was easy to operate and the water pressure was great. Best of all, there were two pillows for each of us.

Beautiful, quiet retreat
Beautiful, quiet, and well maintained property. It was right in the middle of everything we were looking to do. You have all the necessities in a small, extremely functional place. The property's ambassadors, Mói and Katla are the best. They are the property owners' dogs, and are extremely friendly. We looked forward to seeing them every day. Would definitely come back and stay longer.

We loved Heima Holiday Homes! The check-in was easy and the home was perfect for our needs! We loved that the bathroom floor was heated and the amenities of the home. Parking was convenient. Would definitely recommend stay there.

The property was amazing! The views, the decor of the houses, very kid friendly! There were 2 very friendly dogs that kids played with. The house had everything family needs. Very warm house and very chic design. Comfortable beds. Kitchen was very well equipped. Owner suggested visiting township pool With kids while waiting for check-in since we arrived early. We enjoyed warm pool and sauna in town nearby.

Amazing. Would love to stay here again! A+ dogs.
We loved this property! The owners were perfect (they went above and beyond when we needed them for a very minor medical concern, but did not interfere otherwise), the accommodations were as advertised, the room was comfortable and cozy, and the dogs made the place seem like home. It was a bit snug for a family of four, but it was so comfortable that we were all happy. The big shower and bathroom with heated floor was nice for drying out hiking gear, and it honestly heated the entire space (in June we turned off all other heat and opened windows). How can you not feel happy when you are staying in an idyllic place like this and look out and see adorable dog faces begging you to come outside to play with them?!

This was a really unique little house and we have never stayed in anything like it before. It was small and clean for our family of four and had everything we needed. The heated floors in the bathroom were a nice touch. We were able to prepare a meal in the little kitchen. No microwave. The host was nice and friendly. There is nothing in the immediate area so you have to plan to buy food at the supermarket which was about 15 mins away. The views were nice and the area was quiet. The owner has dogs which were friendly and came to say hello and play catch with us. I would recommend but be mindful that there are no stores or restaurants close by.

This property way my favorite of our stay. Nice location to end a day of the Golden Circle. Selfoss is close to have dinner. The house was so cute and clean. We arrived late but the key was waiting for us. Netflix is available to watch on the TV. The dogs are super playful and a nice touch since we are dog lovers.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The property is conveniently located and comfortable. I was able to travel to Reykjavik, the golden circle, Vik, and Skaftafell from the house. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Iceland!

Clean and adequately equipped pantry/kitchen. Power outages may happen in tha geographical area. Parking in front of each unit is about 30m down a gentle gradient. Hence have to carry luggage upslope to the unit ( awareness of this when you travel with >2 luggages). Responsive owners. Nice stay though.

We were two couples traveling together, each rented their own cabin for 3 nights in May of 2023. The location makes a great base camp for exploring the Golden Circle sights and the Vik area coastline. The location is excellent, private but easily accessible and close to the charming (and growing) village of Selfoss. Selfoss has excellent dining options. cabins are spacious yet cozy, new, clean and well appointed. Full kitchen for meal prep, nice size bathroom with great shower.

These cabins, like mini houses, are so nice! This is my second year in a row booking them, and for good reason. They are very well placed for travel along the southern coast and golden circle. I absolute adore the dogs that roam the property (Mói and Katla). I use this place as my base of operations. My girlfriend greatly enjoyed the heated floors as well.

Very nice cottage accommodation. Cottage was clean, comfortable, had all the necessities you would need to cook for yourself, and had homey decor. The heated floor in the bathroom was such a treat for a winter traveler! The area around is nice and quiet, beautiful peaceful views in the morning, and the owners’ two dogs came by for pets and cuddles as I was getting ready to check out. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing stay!
Heima holiday homes was an amazing stay. The cabin was lovely and cosy. It was nice and warm after a spending the day out in the cold. The sheets and towels were changed every day which we didn't expect. Cooking facilities were good as it was a lot cheaper and easier to cook ourselves. Fridge had plenty of space for our food and a small compartment for any freezer food. The shower and bathroom was also nice. There was a small problem with the TV where the remote stopped working which Helga sorted out for us. Netflix also wasn't working on the TV for some reason when we were relaxing at night but Helga again was amazing and provided us with a streaming stick we could use instead. Helga was very accommodating! The location was incredible. Out in the wilderness and out of the way of anyone else. Lucky enough to see the Northern Lights on our last night there! The snow had all gone by the time we got to Iceland sadly but it made getting to the accommodation very easy but I can imagine a good 4x4 would be necessary if there was snow, which you would need anyway if you're planning on driving yourself. To top it off, Helga's two dogs are gorgeous and always up for playing with a frisbee or ball while your outside! I'd highly recommend the stay to anyone and would definitely revisit if we ever plan a trip around Iceland again.

These little cabins looked amazing online and didn't disappoint. They were quiet, comfortable and very spacious! We were able to grab some food from a near by store and made dinner in the cabins. The best part though was the dogs! They were lovely, even stayed outside our cabin and loved playing fetch and getting pets and rubs. They could play for hours and it was a blast! They greeted us as we came and kept running after us as we left. 10/10 would go again! Btw for the owner... they keep losing some of their toys under the porches so it seems that is where there 100's of toys go haha

Great recommendation
The host was at home, next door to the rental units, for check-in. We had no planned activities for our last day in Iceland and asked him for a suggestion. Considering the beautiful weather, He ended up suggesting going to Landmannalaugar. We ended up doing the most amazing hike. Would not have known about this place otherwise. Facilities were quite comfortable.
