About this property
Medieval villa with a pool and a viewpoint overlooking historic walls—between Rome and Naples
The opportunity to stay in the historic center of a medieval village completely preserved and fascinating. The house is located on the edge of the village but in the centuries-old walls, there is a perfect insulation from any kind of noise, it will hear the sound of silence .... The villa consists of two main areas: the first large is constructed from antique premises previously used as a mill. The house is made practically in parts of rock and some areas are under the sacristy of the church of St. Michele Arcangelo dating uncertain but certainly no later than the twelfth century AD. The walls of the house are thick and allow the almost total isolation from the outside. The terraced garden has a swimming pool inside and a breathtaking view over the Pontine Marshes. On clear days you can even see the islands of Ponza and Ventotene. Adjacent to the garden is an olive grove in place behind the old walls also owned. Guests will have access to all areas of the house, it is made only denial of access to the animals to the interior of the house, but there is the possibility and the space in the garden to provide a small area even indoors for animals with direct access to the garden .
