"We wanted a place “to get away from it all.” We got our wish and then some. The cabin is beautifully decorated and clean yet so very comfortable and quiet tucked into the hills of gorgeous Southeastern Illinois. We spent a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the cabin. We also got out and saw some of the sites and natural beauty of the area. The hostess thinks of everything. We will be back."

There was something truly special about the property, the peaceful surroundings, and the charm of being able to slow down and enjoy the beauty of nature. It was a refreshing change of pace and made our stay all the more memorable. You can tell when a place has been cared for with thought and attention, and we genuinely appreciated the experience. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that leave the biggest impression, and this stay was certainly one of them. We would absolutely recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway, and we'd gladly stay again!"

"Six adult family members ages 23 to 71 stayed at The Roundhouse for a beautiful weekend adventure. Everyone had a fabulous time!! The grounds and house were very well cared for and Allison, our hostess, checked on us throughout our stay. Spent most of our time enjoying the amenities on the property (beautiful views, pond, fire pit, hot tub) but also appreciated the close proximity to hiking options and local eateries. Go visit…you won’t be disappointed!"

"Clean and cozy with everything we needed for our visit. Our pup enjoyed the back yard and we really liked being on the edge of town with all the conveniences while also so close to all the beauty that the Shawnee has to offer. Host was responsive within 5 minutes of me reaching out."

"This property was awesome! The views are so incredible. It truly is magnificent.The owners kept the pool open for us and my husband swam while my sisters and I had our feet in (86 degree day on October 1). Sitting there watching nature enjoying the views and visiting with family makes perfect memories. Very rustic which is what we were looking for.Location is easy to Harrisburg and Eldorado which was great since we were visiting cousins.Hiking is great in the area and the owners animals kept us entertained.We will definitely be back to this property again!"
