"This is a beautiful historic building that has been renovated in all the best ways. The rooms are large and bright with tall ceilings and large windows. They have very nice soap/moisturizer products and the staff was extreemly friendly and helpful!"

"This newer hotel close to JMU was perfect for our weekend getaway. The mountain views are beautiful, the room was clean, and the hotel lobby area is very modern. They have an indoor pool and a fitness room as well. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating areas; there's one with a fireplace, another with a fire pit, a lounging area with two TVs and still another that's just a seating area for hanging out. The hotel also has a top-floor restaurant and bar with terrific views."

Only the main lodge has views (no A/C for those rooms if that matters), Likely to see deer walking through the area without much concern for humans. There is a rugged climb to an outcrop for a great view of the valley nearby. Food was good (expensive as expect but not a wow) Blackberry Cobbler is the exception however."

"Great location! The bar staff are wonderful and very accommodating! The pool was a great option to lounge in before heading out to Elmwood Park for the concert. Only issue we had was the phone in our room did not work, so we had to call the front desk with our phones and there was a plastic hanger and discarded price tag under the dresser the TV was on which made me wonder how thoroughly the room had been cleaned before we checked in."

"We chose Old Town Winchester and stayed at The George Washington Hotel as our gathering spot for High school girl friends The Hotel was beautiful ,our rooms big enough plus having a sm scale table with 2 chairs ,the bathroom very roomy,beds were very comfortable and the staff very accommodating and welcoming The amenities at the hotel met our needs perfectly ! It was really nice to be in a walkable area with many shops and restaurants ,pubs .No complaints from 5 women in our group 😁"
