"The room smelled strange - I immediately opened the windows and back door when I entered. And the internet, although they warned me of this, was really limited. I got my best reception at 2am. My last 2 nights were spent at the bar where I could work on my laptop. The bar tender was extremely accomodating and kind. The Tuesday night program with on of the Forest Rangers Tim, was great !!! And the staff here was wonderful - a great stay, very expensive, but worth it to be int he Park."

"This property was even better than described. It fit our needs perfectly, and then some. Close to downtown and to the entrance of the National Park. The cabin was very comfortable, coxy and stocked with just about everything you could think of. Communication with the owner was excellent and we had no issues. Can't wait to stay there again."

"The host of this property was awesome , she responded right away with an issue that wasn’t really a hindrance to us but more for her. But she made sure we stayed comfortable throughout the stay! House is perfect size for a family , towels, linens and all supplies needed in the kitchen. We LOVED the Mountain views and close proximity to Thornton gap entrance . One thing the pictures do not show is there are abandoned farm structures right around the house so when you pull in at first it’s a little different. But I ended up actually really liking the authentic historical feel of the farm you’re staying on. There were some bugs here and there in the house like ants and gnats but again you’re smack in the middle of a huge farm and close to the beautiful lake up over the tall hill. Honestly we recommended this stay to a family member right when we left because it does give you the full Shenandoah experience!"
