About this property

2 Bed in Sheringham (oc-1540)

  • A fabulous beachfront location and gorgeous sea views make this small but perfectly formed three-storey property a unique seaside getaway. Close to all the amenities of popular Sheringham, it’s perfect for couples, friends or a family with children over the age of eight.

This tiny Victorian local authority building has been cleverly converted into a one-of-a-kind destination. You’ll unload your car at the bottom of a steep slope with steps before stepping down through the front door and discovering its delights. The entire ground floor consists of an open-plan living space, with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. There’s comfortable seating, a TV, DVD and CD for entertainment, and a kitchen area with all you’ll need for preparing holiday meals. Two people can perch at the breakfast bar to eat, plus there are folding chairs on the balcony. Take the spiral staircase to the lower-ground floor and you’ll find a double bedroom and a separate shower room, while on the first floor - also accessed by a spiral staircase - is a spacious double bedroom with a beautiful beamed, sloping ceiling and an en-suite shower room. The top bedroom has doors to a delightful balcony, the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a sundowner. Wrapping around three sides of the ground floor, a larger balcony is another gorgeous place in which to chill out.

Sheringham’s family-friendly beach is huge and sandy when the tide is out, and when the tide’s in you can wander along the promenade, part of the Norfolk Coast Path, enjoying the colourful beach huts and scenic vistas. In town, you’ll find an array of cafes, tea rooms, restaurants, a museum and even a theatre, and if you fancy heading further afield you can jump on a heritage steam train to the Georgian town of Holt.
