Sherwood Island State Park Holidays

I have been to this property quite a few times because the rates are reasonable as compared to the nearby hotels. but you get what you pay for. Its an old property with old furniture, old beds , old televisions and very old linen. its not a Hilton and its not trying to be. recently I see more and more homeless, wandering children and thugs in attendance. ( thug - a male or female with pants down, a tight shirt or wife beater, an angry expression and smoking weed) they usually spend more time sitting outside the hotel than in the room. the staff is very helpful and professional. there is a lot of effort to keep the place clean.

My second time staying here and it confirmed that I will never stay here again. The room is so dull and I despise a dirty stained up carpet. Needs a good facelift and not too welcoming receptionist. The tub was stained and the curtains were dirty in the bathroom. Everything beefs improving here from front desk to elevators, carpet, TV, and bathroom. Very unsatisfied.

Very nice atmosphere and staff! The breakfast offered is by far better than most.

The people next to us were very noisy even though institutions said to be quiet after 9. Hotel needs to mention this at check-in about quiet time
