"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "

"Gorgeous boutique hotel with a homey vibe. Concierge and housekeeping are around 24h and constantly followed up on our wishes. Great airport transfer and restaurant bookings. For those who like privacy. Furniture and amenities are high class. Great views over river, shrines and mountainside."

"Hiro is a real hero! He made our stay so special and an unforgettable experience. We had some travel delays and then extended our trip and he has been so flexible with everything and even gave us a ride to the train station! The place is spotless, good internet, the kitchenette made all the difference with home cooking and it's a central but quiet location. 10/10 for sure!"

"This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. "

"we stayed in the sea room with my wife and son. From what I see it's the one with the least amount of games, yet it was fantastic. we really loved the layout and the decor is perfect for a child. I can say with absolute certainty it was my son favorite hotel during our entire trip in Japan. he was delighted to sleep on a boat bed with Mr. Otopus and climbing up and down the boat chimney. The kids drawing books, sleepers and kid toothbrush were also a plus.and the interactive game on the wall in...

"This is one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed! It is a beautiful property with a traditional, Japanese style. We loved the suite with a separate bedroom and living room with a fridge! Our family paid the extra charge per day for the delicious breakfast served in our room. The hotel staff were so accommodating and professional! They answered questions about the area and helped us find a wonderful shopping and Japanese shrine area in Kyoto so we could purchase traditional Japanese tea sets...

"Good stay, for the price it was a great find. The room was nice but needed maintenance in terms of paint/carpet other than that it was very clean. It has a nice very view, our favorite part was the location. It was a walkable distance to many things in Kyoto. Nishiki Market is one notable space and Kawaramachi-dori Street. Easy access to bus stations and train stations. Would recommend. "

"I thought the environment and the staff were very friendly and cozy. It’s a short walk from any convenience store and Nishiki market is about a 15 to 20 minute walk. The onsen is definitely a plus after a long day of walking. "
