Shiobara-machi Hotels

"Phenomenal location and staff. One of the best places I've ever stayed"

"Top three best hotels, ever great staff great location had such an amazing time . Met more cool people that I’ve ever seen anyone and everyone come now."

"+ clean and well-ordered room + high hospitality + smooth and clear hotspring - far from outside shops and restaurants, all closed very soon before night, need to buy items before getting to the hotel "

"大浴場の温泉の湯量と温度はイマイチでした。 4階の露天風呂は森の眺めが良かったです。 オールインクルーシブで夕食、朝食共に地域の特性を生かしており大満足でした。何より食事対応のスッタフが気持ち良く素晴らしい。"

"We had a very relaxing family holiday here. There were hardly any other guests when we stayed, and it was almost like having a private resort. The restaurant staff made us two lovely dinners and breakfasts, the first dinner was an intricate kaiseki spread, and the second was delicious grilled steak. Breakfast had plenty of options for both Japanese and Western style meals. The lounge area provided all the drinks and snacks and cup noodles we wanted, and we had a very nice walk around, and up into...

"Very good"

"Wi-Fiがつながらない"

"Great service by staff "

"コンセントがベット付近に無し。 USBポートも無し。"

"Perfect convenience to Station and bus to Toshu-gu. Nice, spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and fine indoor/outdoor hot spring options."

"English speaking staff. Excellent Kaiseki dinner and breakfasts. Room has a nice river view and quiet . Hotel location is walking distance to all main sights and near Bus stop. Onzen open till midnight. Highly recommended."

"Beautiful rooms, friendly staff. A bit far from the train station, shuttle service could be improved, but taxis are not too expensive"

"The staff was very helpful and the property was gorgeous. For families who may not be familiar with this style of hotel, be aware that bathing facilities are either in a public onsen or you can rent a private onsen for 45 minutes."

"I think very few gaijin go this far out. Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. "

"It was very clean and a peaceful stay. Great location !"

"Historic hotel in good location"

"Buffet dinner with steak and tempura. Good onsen water."

"Convenient location for walking to the shrines, etc. The Annex is located a bit further than the first Turtle Inn, but is still a lovely establishment. Kind staff. "

"DISGUSTING. The stench of mold and damp permeated every space and every floor. The elevator smell was the worst. Stains everywhere including the ceiling. This place hasn’t been maintained in probably 40 years. The whole area is falling apart and most buildings are abandoned. We couldn’t get out of here fast enough. I will be making a proper complaint with photos."
