We knew garden was "staggered" but its not atttached to house. You have to go down a path that runs along the back of the houses to go your garden gate. We stayed at Newton Poppleford for the purpose of attending an event at Bicton Arena, which was just a few miles up the road, and did not, therefore, have reason or time to visit Sidmouth whilst there.

Loved Sidmouth itself It is beautiful. We stayed because we were off to the Donkey Sanctuary and it is very close to that and definitely both places are worth a visit.
