"This home has a lot of nice things going for it. The view of Lake Glenville is beautiful and the location is convenient-- about 7 minutes to town and 2 minutes to Signal Ridge Marina. Check-in was seamless and communication with the management company was generally prompt. The home appeared to have been professionally cleaned, with basic toiletries provided, which we appreciated. The bedrooms are spacious and there is ample parking for three cars (which is not always the case in the mountains). Our family also enjoyed playing table tennis and the kids liked the provided board games.There are, however, a few things to be aware of. First, although the view is great, the screened porch is dark and the road noise is quite loud. Given that we travel to western NC to enjoy the outdoors, this was a little disappointing. Second, the furnishings felt sparse--adequate, but not particularly comfortable or high-end. Third, we noticed quite a few ants inside. Fourth, we had a couple instances where the water to the home shut off completely. I am not sure what the cause was, and thankfully it only lasted a few minutes each time, but this was not ideal during a shower.Overall, we had a nice stay, but in our experience, there are more luxurious properties in Cashiers at the same price point."

"To begin with, we had never stayed here and chose to make this our central location for hikes and other adventures.Upon arrival, we were impressed with the architecture, the views, and most of all how organized everything was.Jo Hart has thought of everything. She has food for the squirrels, food for the birds, a Propane fired heater for cool evenings on the porch and a grill for outdoor cooking. And she even had walking sticks for our use!In addition, a water filtration system for refrigerated drinking water.Every utensil is clearly marked and nothing is missing. We felt like we were in our own home and being treated to the most enjoyable time we've had in many years. And the bed was very comfortable.In addition, though we normally like to leave a place in a nicer condition than when we found it, that was impossible. And Jo would not allow us to wash any of the laundry or sheets, clearly saying, "you are to be guests and I don't want you doing anything"This was a memorable experience and we will be returning frequently. In fact, we have already booked a week in the fall.Kudos to Jo for thinking of everything."

"Fabulous house with amazing views of Lake Glenville. We spent most of our time on the porch. Parking is an issue if you have more than two cars, but we thoroughly our enjoyed our stay as two families with four adults and five children. There was more than enough space to spread out!"

"This property is beautiful and has stunning views of the lake. It is spacious, very tastefully decorated with art, and the kitchen is outstanding with anything you might need during your stay. Everything was very clean. And the hosts are very kind and welcoming. The road up to the property is very curvy so the hosts are cirrect when they say do not drive it for the first time in the dark. We did fine though with a car and SUV. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys the mountains and lake views. It is very peaceful."
