Great location to walk around Singapore. Room has very few amenities (no toiletries, etc.)…and front desk never answers to assist and forgot my wake up call. Room has a good bed and nice lavatory. Bar is good but staff basically ignore you. Sadly, front desk staff do not interact and explain the property (where to go inside, where is what, how to get to restaurant, that there is a place for afternoon tea, when to expect housekeeping, where is the pool, etc.). Overall, I would give this 7 out of 10. Not what you expect for the price.

Our stay at this hotel was superb. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and we were so impressed with every member of the staff that we encountered. They were extremely professional and courteous and very friendly. I cannot praise the hotel and staff enough. We would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant heritage building close to main transport hubs and shopping to suit all budgets . I was under the impression that I would have an open balcony but this was enclosed with no option to access fresh air in the room . The room was nonetheless comfortable with good modern amenities. It was a fair trek to the breakfast area but that daily hike just allowed one to indulge in the wide variety on offer with a guilt free conscience. More than happy to revisit this venue .

Luxurious stay in Singapore
Right from check in out stay was fabulous, Emily was so efficient and professional, she had an early check in for us and a late check out. Emily showed us to our room which was so spacious and luxurious. There was 5 restaurants to choose from and a beautiful bar. We were within walking distance of the raffles area and there was everything you needed within walking distance.

Rude Manager always glaring at staff and only deals with people in a gruff manner, he probably shouldn’t be a Hotelier he certain doesn’t have the manners for it. This a very tired weird noisey hotel. Cupboards have damp stains in them, some of the buttons work some don’t, the room shapes are bizarre, and they are noisey and without any decent views. The staff uniforms are shabby a bit like the furniture. With so much competition in Singapore if this passes as 5 star I’m a monkeys uncle. Kempinskis are normally a good standard this is not a good representation of Kempinski. It needs an overhaul

Check-in was efficient with good service. Room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping staff was very prompt with cleaning. However, lounge access was limited to 6-8pm daily, unlike the hotels I’ve been to such as Pan Pacific, Grand Hyatt and Hilton which offer all day access to the executive lounge. Check-out was slow as all service staff were occupied and people just cut queue to be served.

Superb Stay
The Capitol Kempinski was perfect from our early arrival when Jason allowed us an early check-in to our suite. The room was large, comfortable and quiet. It was furnished with lovely furniture and original oil paintings and porcelain. We felt as though we were staying in a friend's elegant house. We were treated with wine, nibbles, fruit and chocolate. The breakfasts were perfect with every taste catered for. The staff were helpful and would do anything. The location is great, close to museums, MRT, shopping and dozens of excellent restaurants at Chijmes. I have already told all my friends that the Kempinski is the best hotel in Singapore.

If you want comfort and ease then this is not the hotel for you. I don’t normally book 5 star hotels but when I do, I expect a different/better level of service and room. The rooms are small. We stayed only 2 nights and one of the nights the aircon wasn’t working. They came to check and the filter was so packed with dust, I am surprised they didn’t fix it sooner. The concierge was very uninformed about their own hotel, could not answer simple questions and gave me wrong answers which really ruined my stay. I ordered breakfast in room and they asked me if I had any dietary restrictions to which I said yes vegetarian only. They delivered the food with bacon bits hidden under the potatoes. Not 5 star quality at all. In fact this has never happened to me at a 3 star or 2 star hotel even. To think I paid $700 a night for this. I cringe at that. Honestly, my experience with Capitol Kempinski has ruined my visit to Singapore. Don’t think I will be wanting to come back after the stupidity I saw at this 3 star hotel pretending to be a 5 star hotel. Be sure to check out the pool. It’s so tiny, has no view and only about 4 lounge chairs. What a waste.

Exceptional Hotel and Service!
An exceptional hotel in the heart of Singapore. I have previously had a really bad experience with Kempinski at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, but decided to try them again as I was in Singapore for the GP. From check in to check out, the experience was exceptional. They gave me a great room, 255, with large terrace. Everything you need is in the room and the service from the front desk is also exceptional. The bed is super comfortable, I usually don't sleep well in hotels, but I had 3 nights of great sleep! The only one issue I had was with the Italian restaurant in "The Arcade" running out of pizza dough at 8pm on a Friday night, which I thought was ridiculous, but the team in the hotel did try to organise one for me - so again, service was really exceptional in the hotel. I will go back to the GP next year and will stay here again! Having stayed at some of the best hotels in the world, I would put this one up there, as the service level is exceptional. The room style is a bit more classic, so may not be to everyones taste, and is usually not to mine, but the services and locations more than make up for this. Thanks!

Everything was good except for the bidet that never worked. I complained about it but nothing was done about it. Also, there was some repairs or hammering that was going on late in the evening it only stopped after weve complained. Though they claimed that no construction work was being done
