"The staff were lovely, the hotel has beautiful views, it is peaceful and breakfast is lovely. You need a car unless you plan to relax on resort. There is a Lidl nearby for necessities and it is a 15 minute drive to the beautiful beaches at Guincho and Cascais."

"This lovely cottage is conveniently located in Sintra, close to castles, botanical gardens and wonderful restaurants. The highlight was the wonderful service provided by Caterina. She was so warm and friendly, and took the time to show us a map with recommendations for tourism and food options. She speaks perfect English. They offered a free gift of port wine and a “honesty” snack area for convenience. There is a cute fenced in garden area. Warning, this is an old building with narrow stairs. Not accessibility friendly for those with mobility issues. "

"Our stay at the Penha Longa exceeded all expectations. From the beginning to the end. On arrival we were met with some of the most friendly and helpful staff. Everyone went above and beyond to please and to make the stay great. The hotel is nestled on a beautiful golf course. Lots of great restaurants and a superb free breakfast every morning. Star in every department was great. There was no language barrier. I would certainly return to this property. We had a wonderful vacation. "
