"Reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was pretty basic, kitchenette although no tea cups, no air con, small shower and shower head was broken it dribbled water constantly so we had to leave a towel to stop the sound. The hotel is based in an extremely quiet area so if you’re looking for nightlife or a tourist area this is not the place for you! We stayed for 3 nights which in this particular area was enough. "Ralph was an amazing host with excellent timely communication. The cottage is located very close to down town Praia das Macas easy walking distance to the beach, shopping and food. There is an incredible fish market close by that will be the highlight of your trip! Everyone in town is so friendly and your stay is far from the busy Lisbon district. Overall one of the best travel experiences of our lives! We will definitely return!"

"This was so much fun staying here, we really enjoyed it!Sandra was extremely responsive and helped us a lot with planning transport ahead of the trip. She also prepared some amazing food for our arrival as well as arranging a meal one of the evenings at our request. We were three families travelling with four young children and the house was set up perfectly for our needs with plenty of ways to keep the children entertained. The only reason for the lower vote was that we found some of the local restaurants weren’t very welcoming to young families - for a group of adults I think it would be a good area to stay in."
"From the moment I arrived, the host was helpful and accommodating for an early check in. The views are breathtaking with windows directly facing the ocean. Conditions of the room were nice and the continental breakfast provided was complimentary. Perfect for taking outside to the balcony and enjoying the scenery from the 4th floor. "

"My family and I had an excellent stay at Ricardo’s apartment. Its location is really spectacular. A short walk into the center of Colares. 10 min drive to great beaches and 10 minutes to Sintra. There is bus service to both as well that does not take long. The apartment is basic but comfortable. It had everything our family of 3 needed. It was very clean. The bedrooms are actual spacious and are on opposing sides of the kitchen/living area. The Garden area is pleasant and a nice spot to sit and have coffee or relax for a moment in between activities. There is a large free parking lot next to the property. We met and interacted with Ricardo several times. He was very responsive. He communicated very well. And was very pleasant to talk with. His recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit for great. The building has a 3 or 4 apartments. Noise was not an issue. Ricardo is remodeling the ground floor apartment. This was not a problem at all. He did well to keep tools and supplies tidy and covered up. This did not lessen the quality of our stay but I think if you are a princess or a snob this may bother you. "A group of 10, x2 families stayed with children from 7-12. The property is a good size and set in a very peaceful woodland area. Unfortunately the building is very tired and could benefit from some updating. The biggest issue for all adults (from 36 years - 73 years of age), was the uncomfortableness of the beds. We dreaded going to bed and would have to take a paracetamol to help us sleep, they really need replacing! The drains are also quite smelly but that is likely for more properties near Sintra. The host communicated really well and the location is ideal next to the mountains and 10 minutes to beaches so it was a shame the comfort of the house let’s this property down.The pool was also dirty for the first few days as it had not been cleaned and the filter was broken. As it was old, the children did not want to play in it so that wasn’t worth booking for. "
