"We loved our stay at PG Beach house. This very large house accommodated my family of 5 and 2 guests perfectly. Very close to the beach and it was great to be able to come back to the beautiful pool when the beach got too hot. We didn’t need a car as everything was within walking distance or a short uber ride. We made it to a great restaurant called Azenhas do Mar which had amazing food, a beautfiul view of the sunset and a change of pace from the restaurants by the beach. The property manager Ketan was great to work with and told us everything we needed for a great vacation. He made sure everything was clean and that we had everything we needed to have a great long weekend. Great location, beautiful home and a property manager who made sure everything was perfect. This place is as good as it can get!!!!!"

"I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this incredible place truly deserves the spotlight. This stunning, spacious, and romantic home is perched on the cliffs of Portugal’s west coast, just 15 minutes from Sintra. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Alfie and Miguel, who greeted us with the kind of genuine hospitality that made us feel like long-lost family. Alfie prepared an incredible breakfast each morning (included in the stay), and the entire experience felt like a luxurious, five-star retreat with a personal touch. The interior of the home is a thoughtful blend of eclectic Mediterranean charm, mid-century character, and boho elegance. Every corner reflects intentional design—from the curved fireplace and white stucco walls to the marble railings and abundant natural light streaming through expansive windows. The constant sound of waves crashing against the cliffs below added to the dream-like ambiance. As we were traveling as a family, we stayed in the cottage on the property, which offered a lovely private retreat with two bedrooms (one queen and two twins), a cozy living room with a large TV, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The dining area was tastefully decorated with woven rugs, soft fabric chairs, and subtle green and gold accents. Sitting there each morning, enjoying a beautifully prepared breakfast while gazing out at the ocean below, was truly unforgettable. "

"It was absolutely beautiful! One of a kind- both the rooms and the scenery. The service was outstanding. They are so kind and make a really good breakfast. My only recommendation, contact the B&B directly if possible so they can tell you about checking in after hours. Hotels.com did not inform us of after hour check-in details."

"We chose the Barca Charm House for its location, family friendliness and wonderful reviews. Each review referred to the hospitality of our hosts and I have to agree with previous reviewers, Sandra and Eduardo were exceptional. The house is comfortable and fully equipped. There was everything you could possibly need and so much more. The only item we were unable to bring with us was a potty for our 2 year old. Sandra was immediately on the case and brought a brand new potty round which was so helpful! There is so much to see and do in the area that a week just wasn’t long enough. We left with heavy hearts. Our family are spread out over the world and time spent together is very precious. We made many happy memories in the Charm house. Thank you Sandra and Eduardo. Wishing you both health and happiness. "We chose this cottage because of the location and it was good for us. We don’t like crowds and love the coast. Sintra and Lisbon were easy Uber drives away and we got to experience staying in a picturesque cliffside village. The cottage garden was beautiful and inside had everything we needed. Our Host was great and very accessible. We had a lovely stay."

"The service from Mohammed before I even got there was 5* and it never stopped. Osvaldo continued to deliver the same 5* and I was made to feel so welcome. The views of Praia da Macas from apartment are perfect, with the sounds of the powerful waves. I had planned to go to Lisbon, and this place being over 40km away was off putting, but the absolute best choice I ever made and only 35 euros in an uber, back to airport. I could not get enough of all the secluded beaches in cliff coves, down the amazing atlantic coastline, WOW. I highly recommend going to these 5* hotspots, my camera never stopped. Praia das Azenhas, where the village is built onto the side of the mountain cliff, in a beach cove. 1.7km away. I walked the coastline. I got to a bus to the most westerly point in europe Cabo de Roca scenic point. 7km away and found a costline walk that was so amazing I just kept walking, it went from moderate to tougher as I reached my 3rd beach area Praia da Adraga, which I just had to go down to, with its cave opening going from the sand to sea, breathtaking. (that was a challengeing descent, so if your walking skills aren't as good, I would get an uber there, 6km) Praia da Macas(home) amazing beach and waves(Atlantic ocean is cold, be prepared) and theres a Roman ruins of a sun & moon sanctuary and an Islamic Ribat ruins at the same sacred grounds above where the river Corales meets ocean. Watching the sunset from here was Golden. My heart led me to Atlantic views. Thanks "
