The lodge was good, bedroom good size and bathroom a nice size.
The lodge was good, bedroom good size and bathroom a nice size. Sealant in shower could do with being replaced but it didn't bother us. The sofa was a bit low for my husband so glad the chair was there.

Bloom lodge was lovely, The kitchen was well equipped, although we couldn't buy pods for the coffee
Bloom lodge was lovely, The kitchen was well equipped, although we couldn't buy pods for the coffee machine as none of the supermarkets we tried had any, they were a new style which could only be ordered online.Unfortunately the sofa was not very supportive and therefore uncomfortable.Hot tub was a great size and wasn't overlooked.

Lovely lodge nicely furnished comfortable and well equipped.
Lovely lodge nicely furnished comfortable and well equipped. It has extra little touches like bathrobes & slippers and welcome gift of Prosecco which gives it a more luxury feel.Fabulous hot tub great temperature throughout our stay. The lodge is very private with great views and a covered enclosed veranda. It could do with some extra glasses and more cutlery and also a corkscrew. It needs an anti slip mat for the shower as the base is very slippy. The living area does not have any blinds so it doesn't feel very private late at night/early morning. The door to the bedroom is straight off the living area so you enter straight onto the fully glassed front. It is in a very private setting so it's not a great issue plus we understand it would be a shame to hide the wonderful view. Maybe some discreet blinds could offer the choice of felling more private.

Cabin was clean and tidy.
Cabin was clean and tidy. The onsite restraunt did seem to be over priced as we traveled to have breakfast and dinner most days when we stayed. They do offer a special meal on certain days which is very popular.

We booked Herons Mead quite last minute for a weekend away.
We booked Herons Mead quite last minute for a weekend away. It’s a really quiet spot in a secluded area with a large fishing lake. If you want things to do close by this might not be for you but it was ideal for us. The staff were so friendly and attentive and happy to give recommendations of things to do nearby. The lodge itself was perfect for us, it was spacious and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus. The Hide is a great place for a drink or food if you don’t want to venture out. It’s good to see the extension/building work going on and it all expanding too. Gibralter point is a lovely nature reserve with a cafe, different length walks to suit every and is really close to a beach. Just remember cash for the car park! Our only slight negative was that the phone signal and wifi wasn’t great but that just meant we had to put the phones down and switch off which I don’t think is a bad thing. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return!
