"Good base to explore West Cork"

"My wife and I spent 3 nights at The Chocolate Box. We had the entire cottage, which included 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen , living room and a washing machine. It was an extremely peaceful and relaxing stay. It was so quiet as well. The location is perfect for day trips to Cork and Cobh, as well as the Ring of Kerry. Lidl was only a 10 minute drive away "

"Paula is a great host; house is spotless, great for a family group. Although I'm comfortable with Irish house quirks ( shower immersion, hob switch etc.) a written explanation might help visitors who aren't familiar with how these work."

"The host was unfriendly and hadn't turned heat on so was very cold. Kitchen and bathroom had no heat. Terrible shower and refrigerator was worthless owner told us a stick in the freezer. Even her son said this was a nuisance. I would stay at West Cork Hotel in Skiberean again never again at Rineen."
