"Had a lovely time here. My room view was beautiful of the lakeside. Bed comfy, unfortunately they had a problem with showers which did not work for one day. They handled the problem brilliantly. I was given a complimentary dinner. Much appreciated. Food great and breakfast scrumptious. It was like home from home. Thank you."

"Very well located in a lovely, quiet setting. Convenient to Skibbereen for shopping and entertainment as well as short excursions to several area attractions. The house was clean, comfortable and the kitchen well appointed for cooking meals. We really enjoyed our stay!"

"Living even for a short time in a castle is a unique experience. It is just rustic enough to get a feel for castle life and just modern enough to make it comfortable. The grounds are lush and the area is quiet. Otters were on the rocks down by the water at the bottom of the stairs at waters edge. The top floor has an amazing view with lots of glass and a sheltered patio. We had some concerns, but Stephanie was quick to respond. My only criticism would be the bed on middle floor was uncomfortable, it is a futon and I’m sure furnishing a castle must be a challenge. The wifi was perfect."

"The property was a cosy Irish cottage set in lovely countryside and so was very quiet. The overall state of it was ok with comfortable beds and sitting area. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The bathroom was adequate although the shower and basin waste were very smelly. What spoilt the whole stay was that the property was very damp and every bedtime the beds felt cold and damp. There were slug trails in the kitchen in the mornings. It would have been nice to have been left some logs to warm and dry the place on our arrival."

"The Skibbereen Eagle is a traditional Irish Pub. Everyone we met there welcomed us with enthusiasm and readily advised us on what was “must do/see” they have full meal 4 nights a week (th - Sun) and “Irish” bingo on Tuesday also you have to go in for WiFi we had our pints 25 of 28 days- conversely we were charged E320 for gas &elect. Books and DVD’s are mostly in Germany and we spent over E100 in wood for the fireplace. Great location but doubt we’ll be back"
