"My wife and I visited Emerald Villas & Suites in late September. We felt like we were on a postcard in the Ionian Islands. Perched on the cliffs, these stone-built luxury villas and suites are nothing short of serenity, indulgence, and soul-stirring beauty! Our first Impression is like the warmth that wraps around you like a sunset, which you will immensely enjoy! It has beautiful panoramic sea views with exquisite traditional Greek stone architecture with cozy/contemporary elegance. The Villas are blissfully secluded, yet steps from adventure! The area feels authentically Greek with sleepy tavernas serving fresh grilled octopus and meze, winding paths with amazing views, and virtually zero crowds. At check-in, we were greeted by Irene, our host. She walked us through the villa, sharing insider tips on hidden coves and sunset spots, and places to eat that offer delivery to our front door. It was the kind of welcome that wasn't service, but heartfelt hospitality. She made us feel like family...she was phenomenal! Emerald Villas & Suites didn't just host us, we left there with sun-kissed skin, hearts full, and a piece of Zakynthos etched into our souls. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. "I booked this hotel for my daughter and her friend who wanted to extend their holiday in Zante. The hotel pictures looked suitable - I did not expect a 5 star hotel in a party resort full of young people! The reality of the accommodation did not reflect the pictures advertised by the hotel! The main building is fine but my daughter was stuck in an additional block of the hotel which was adjacent to the laundry room! The ‘balcony’ looked out onto a garage forecourt which was on a busy road near the main strip (see pictures). Not only that, the girls were then asked to pay for air conditioning, which is advertised as included on the website. This is 10 Euros per night. The hotel refuse to switch it on unless you pay. The fridge in the room was also broken. It was only when I turned up at the hotel in person with my friend that we managed to get the fridge replaced and the aircon on (although still had to pay!). They seemed to take complaints more seriously from 50 year old adults than young people. I think the young people are taken advantage of because of their age and the fact that many of them are travelling alone or in small groups. I cannot fault Expedia at all, who very quickly resolved my complaint satisfactorily, but I do not recommend this hotel."
