"Like going back in time. Classical European hotel. Had a gorgeous spacious suite. Bathroom fixtures were a bit dated and the shower/tub was unusually high and difficult to get in and out of. But location was fantastic. 2 minute walk to take the funicular up to Harder Kulm. 3 minute walk to Interlaken Ost train station. Plenty of dining and shopping options within walking distance. If you are looking for a hotel in the central Interlaken area this is a very nice option."

"This hotel is more beautiful than the pictures show. The view from the property and from our balcony was breathtaking. The sounds of cow bells and the animals all around us were an extra perk. We loved it so much we ended up extending our stay. I am a tad hard to please and very critical, I almost never come back to the same hotel twice, but I think this one might be an exception. The location is perfect, close to town and all the places we wanted to visit, this is a perfect base for day trips."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Alpenrose Hotel and Gardens! The location is wonderfully convenient—just a short, easy walk to both the bus and train stations, making it a breeze to visit Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. While the property is housed in an older building, it is clean and fully functional. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice--letting us chill in the dining room and making it super easy to reserve and enjoy the hot tub. The absolute highlight was breakfast, which offered incredible variety. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Combined with the gorgeous gardens and stunning views, I would highly recommend this hotel if you would like an affordable, clean, and convenient stay! Especially since hotels directly in Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are way more expensive."
