"The sweet little cabin had everything we could have asked for! The large back porch was definitely our favorite! We ate our dinners out there, sat and watched the silly squirrels chase each other, and were under cover when it was raining. All that and the peaceful babbling brook added to our stay.
We also liked the location. We did some hiking as well as a tour all within a short drive.
We don't know when we will make it back to that area. However, if we get the opportunity, we will definitely stay there again if the cabin is available!"
High Rock Hideaway Red River Gorge KY *Couples Cabin* Hot Tub Wifi Pet Friendly
10/10 Excellent
"This is a wonderful spot to stay. The host is superb, communicative, and overall this was simply a wonderful experience. The hot tub was great after days of hiking; the cabin is cozy and stocked with all the overnight necessities. "
"Our room was so dusty that I had to dust everything including the microwave, the window blinds, the heater/air conditioner. Even the air conditioner filters were full of dust. I am allergic to dust and dust mites. The microwave was sitting on top of the mini fridge that was sitting on a stand. That made the microwave cord too short to plug in so we had to give up a chair to set the microwave on to be able use it. The mattress on the bed needs replaced. The whole middle of the bed was sunken in. We had to put a pillow there to keep from rolling into it. My husband said he held onto the side of the bed each night to keep from rolling into the middle. There's no insulation in the walls or ceiling. Every time someone walked in the room above us we woke up. On Monday morning they replaced the flooring in the room directly above us. :( We woke up to bang, bang, crash... It was so bad. At times it sounded like someone was dropping a huge chain on the floor. Then Monday night when we were alseep (at 11:15 p.m. then again at 12:15 a.m.) housekeeping decided to do laundry, which was next to our room. The washer was off balance both times and banged and banged and banged. We about jumped out of our skins. We could hear what sounded like the agitator going in the washer (just after the banging at 12:15 a.m.) even when the air conditioner was running we could still hear it. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you."
THIS IS THE ONE! SHIPPING CONTAINER CABIN-VIEW-WIFI-NATURAL BRIDGE-NADA TUNNEL
10/10 Excellent
"This little container offers so much more space than you'd think! It is very comfortable and relaxing. Everything you need is on-site and available (firewood is available close by for reasonable prices).Highly recommend!"
"Cabin was nice and clean. Bathroom could use updating. Location: cabin was hard to find and more steps to cabin than expected. I have a spine injury so the steps were a little much. Bed was really hard. We couldn’t stay and left early. "
