"We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to the hotel. Everything has been nicely renovated and staff was very accommodating. I read several negative reviews about the hotel so I was a little apprehensive about staying there. Not sure why there are negative comments. We had no problems with air conditioning and it was 98 degrees. The property was pretty, the pool area was clean and comfortable with plenty of towels, the bar/restaurant was very nice, too. Granted the hotel is over 40 years old but the useable area does not reflect the age of the property. It’s close to the distilleries and other great restaurants. We will definitely return for a long weekend."
