"The rustic retreat property is a nice getaway in a beautiful location. The property has some lovely amenities including a pool, hot tub, pond, view of the river, and really nice screened in back porch. The main house has a master bedroom, 2 queen bedrooms, and a bunk room that is spacious. The cabin is a bit of a walk away and has a queen bedroom and a bunk room upstairs in an attic type of space. The house manager greeted us when we arrived, came during the stay for a check in, and came for a walk through when we departed. The reasons I did not provide a 5 star review were that there was no working air conditioning on half of the main house through the duration of the stay and there were odor issues. Without AC we were definitely sweating and it was uncomfortable to sleep. The house manager put in one portable AC but it could not adequately cool the space. The main bedroom also smelled very strong of dogs. While it appeared clean and the sheets smelled fresh, the dog odor was really very strong. At this price point I would expect this to not be a concern. Overall we had a good stay, but at the height of summer no AC was problematic."
