Thanks to Lello, Ann-Marie & all of the staff at Dania, we had a lovely stay in this Italian Family run hotel. A week into October, the weather was still in the 20's & apart from a thunderstorm on our day of arrival, there was only one cloudy day. The hotel is located outside of Sorrento, €1.30 each, each way on the bus - a slightly hairy walk to the bus stop along the edge of the road, but worth it - we also caught the train to Herculenum. The room was on the 3rd floor #120, easily accessible with a lift and fantastic views to the sea and to Vesuvius through huge shutter windows. We took our own kettle and the little shop on the corner (closed Sundays) has everything you need including fantastic freshly made ciabatta rolls. We sat in bed most mornings with a coffee watching the boats sail by. A slightly annoying dog nearby barked most of the nights but the two donkeys & little white pony were quiet enough. The room was plenty big enough, basic but very clean. We prefer harder mattresses, so was fine for us & we there was no problem having extra pillows. The shower eventually warmed up. We did have a few bites, but the hotel is set in lush Lemon & Olive groves.
We were the only one's on this floor most of our stay, but when other guests were there, you could hear them. Wifi ok'ish, only 1 or 2 English channels on the TV.
We ate lunch & dinner here a couple of times & the food was not too bad.
We would recommend & may return when we come back to visit Pompeii
