"The kitchen was very break equipped and the host provided basic supplies and a lovely bowl of fruit. Great base to explore the region."

"Top tier...a delight in every way. A few small quibbles, none dispositive: the master bedroom bed won't agree with side sleepers and needs replacing, The poolhouse bed was represented by the delightful husband wife cleaning team as nonfunctional.The poolside stationary bike is conceptually sound but the device's maintenance has been sadly neglected and would be cyclists straddling the weather beaten wobbly seat precariously situated above an unstable and poorly designed plinth can anticipate perineal trauma.Now, if any of this discourages a stay here, I have served you poorly.Since most reviewers are not as persnickety as I am any unhappiness in an otherwise glowing review can be seen as a rule out. Glowing reviews have self-censured and so the eye is gouged and fantasy skewered by reports of imperfection. Caveat emptor.I had written this with the hope that others would resonate with what I had to say and give this house a closer look If the opposite has occurred and you have been riled up, I'm a psychiatrist and you may want to take my card. "We had a fantastic week in Adam’s converted barn in Montcabrier. The property has been adapted to a very high spec, is spacious and well appointed. The terrace affords great views over the surrounding countryside and of the pool in the garden below. Montcabrier itself is a lovely bastide village with a church, medieval fortifications and, crucially, a boulangerie! We spent our week sightseeing (Chateau de Bonaguil a highlight), hiking (there are several great walks clearly marked starting from the village square), visiting vineyards (Ch. du Cedre is quality) and browsing markets (Prayssac on a Friday was the best).We mostly cooked for ourselves with the produce garnered from the local markets, but did treat ourselves to what proved to be a fantastic meal at Le Loup Blanc in St. Martin Le Redon (only 5 minutes away by car).All in all a lovely relaxing week in beautiful surroundings."

"Maison agréable, jolie piscine. Belle vue. Terrasses agréables. Dommage que la pompe de la piscine ait été bruyante (placée sous la chambre) et que le voisin ait fait des travaux 12h/jour même le dimanche, car le reste de l'environnement très très paisible. Il manque aussi une couverture pour la piscine qui était assez froide pour un milieu d'été (24/25)"

"We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. The pool area is relaxing and picturesque, while our gite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope we can come backa again soon, "
