Simple but a great place to sleep as we explored the city by day. Location was also great—very close to the action in Times Square but enough off the beaten path to be a little quieter. We did not make it to the rooftop this year, but the reopening and expansion was very nice the last time we visited. Some of the rooms are a little dated, but the location in midtown/Murray Hill and the welcoming staff, makes this an easy choice for return trips. "Water took a long time to get hot. Shower was poorly designed. Ended up getting the small bathroom very wet. No coffee at all. Only food was on the roof deck and was very expensive. Resort fee added to price. The beds were comfortable."
