"Yes the air conditioning was excellent. The host was very gracious and provided fresh fruit and flowers for our stay."

"This is a beautiful house and the property manager was great. The dock area was beautiful and the kids enjoyed the basement play area. The house had everything we needed, though I do wish there was a gas grill. Just one issue to keep in mind: this is really a six person house. There are 3 queen beds. The other sleeping capacity is air mattresses and uncomfortable pull outs. And there is a charge for more than 6 people (just to sleep on the floor).But with that said, we would definitely stay here again. Great house with a beautiful beach area, which is really all that matters at the lake!"

"Upon arrival there was one kind lady working at the desk who was helpful, other than that our experience was HORRIBLE. The property was dirty-- like so dirty I went to Walmart across the street and got cleaning supplies and purchased an air mattress. The hotel was filthy, smelt of weed, the other staff was not helpful and seemed confused about our concerns/complaints, and the area in general felt very unsafe. It was hands down my worst hotel experience-- ever. I would not recommend this hotel for any reason."

"This property should be condemned. It was not remotely as pictured when I booked it. The sign outside is broken.So you don't even know if you're in the right place. The bed was comfortable and the room was large, but oddly arranged. It had a smell to it that was unpleasant. I would never recommend that anyone stay here until it is renovated. "

"Cabin and property it is on is clean and well maintained. The walking trail is part of a local park so there are occasional walkers passing by on the trail. Overall it’s a good solid place to stay unless you intend to venture out beyond a one-mile radius. The surrounding area is repressed and comes with elevated risk as you pass though it. Crime rate statistics for Henderson are elevated compared to other areas in NC and I wish I would have researched it a bit more before bringing my family there. Kudos to the owner for maintaining a nice relaxing property. It’s the surrounding area that leaves much to be desired."
