A top quality town centre hotel with a host of original Georgian features, superbly managed by Gemma and her team who provide an excellent level of customer service.
A beautiful older property with style.
The parking was easy, right outside the door, although it was during a quiet time for the hotel.
A good choice for breakfast which was very tasty

Hotel was OK for what I needed for one night. Priced a bit high for what we got. Staff were good and food was average.
Comfortable hotel, nice with a 'homely' feeling rathan than some clinical hotel chain.
Reception helpful but be aware there are no evening meals at weekends, although nearby is The Moorings pub, good food and excellent staff service
Lovely welcome even though we checked in later than usual
Room was large with a sofa and desk area( room2) . Overlooking the main road, but traffic noise wasnt bad. Nice brekki.. continental and cooked with fresh coffee , self service apart from your cooked order. Would return. Thanks.
We stayed here a couple of years ago and was hoping it would be as good as the last time we went. It’s such a stunningly gorgeous hotel, the rooms are so comfy and clean. We’ll be going back again we hope!
Lovely hotel, large room, great breakfast, lovely staff. In walking distance to town. Would definitely stay here again.

So Cley hall hotel, it looks like the photos so i was impress. My room was the junior suite, a very big room with a marvellous ensuite, every thing smelled and look very clean. So ot came my last day and i had a few niggles.these were, 1) Dinning room, look and felt cold, some soft furnishings would of looked nice, so curtains to make the place look warm.
2) dinning staff, looking and dressed to casual for such a lovely hotel, a uniform would make such a big difference and some training in hospitality would go along way.
3) big disappointment was my bed, on the morning of departure, i always strip my ned, just helps the housekeeping team, to my shock the mattress had some very bad urine stains, such a shame, this room is being ised as a bridal suite and the housekeeping team had let the standard slipp. Everything else about this hotel was great and i cant fault my lo ely stay apart from these few niggles, please sort these out and the hotel will proper stand out. Breakfast was a high standard and i proper enjoyed them all, wish the restaurant team had more interaction would really boost customer service, this was what i mean by restaurant being cold and casual, here is you food and thats it, where was any form of conversation,. Such a let down, my stay i made the best of, and the hotel was very close to local amenities which was a massive bonus did not have to use my car all throughout my stay. So thank you for a good stay.
Room small but very clean. Bed and pillows amazing. Breakfast incredible. Lights behind bed not working. Plug in sink in ensuite quite rusty and no chain on plug so once plug in very difficult to get out. Shower and toiletries lovely. Parking right outside front. Quite a few marks on wall next to bed a bit of paint would cover.
Excellent character hotel in a quiet but convenient location for the town. Friendly service, large well equipped room and great breakfast. Easy parking.
This place was ok, but our Junior suit had to have the curtains closed at all times, as the room is ground level and the bar has tables for guests outside the very large windows!! Reception were quite unhelpful, stating we should have known about this from the hotel room description, which wasn't on Hotels details!
Also the area of Spalding is run down and not very aspirational to visit.
This hotel was perfect for my cycling trip to the fens. I chose a single room, but the bed felt more like a 1.5 size in a room that was clean and spacious enough to also store my bike. It was walking distance to the centre of Spalding and OMG, the full English breakfast was tasty! Thanks to all the staff for a great stay!
Lovely Victorian/Edwardian hotel. We had a very spacious sunlight filled room on the third floor (no lift). Shower open ended without door or curtain 😕 and water ended up all over the bathroom…
Breakfast was full English cooked to order with array of fruits and cold options. Would stay again.
Fantastic place! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Spalding may not be a large tourist hub, but I highly recommend this spot if you find yourself in town.
