We enjoyed our stay. The daily breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean was a lovely way to start each day. The pool and beach area were lovely. We enjoyed the proximity to the local shops and restaurants.

The Grand Hotel La Playa was an excellent hotel, loved the access to ocean and the views from the balcony in my room. The standard breakfast was amazing and the overall experience was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to any who wish to stay in the area.

Can’t say enough good about the staff members! They were great. The hotel is cute but old and probably needs more attention on renovations. The rooms were ok, would have loved some extra attention on cleaning. The bedding was not great. Although the view is breathtaking, as it’s right in the sea. Beach nice and clean, the pool is a wonderful plus.

Great hotel with a private beach but most importantly, A/C that’s stronger than an ox. In all of my travels all over Europe, this place has the best A/C I’ve ever encountered and as a fat boy, this is more important to me than running water. 10/10 will absolutely be back.

This hotel probably saw its peak in the 1970’s. Aside from the fact that it’s right on a beautiful beach, there isn’t too much that’s great about it. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Our room hadn’t been updated since the 70’s and smelled strongly of mould. Beds were hard as rocks and shower was so small you could barely lift your arms to shampoo your hair. Breakfast was meh. Really no redeeming qualities aside from the beach. And it was expensive for the condition of the hotel. I would not recommend.

Sperlonga is a wonderful place! The hotel was at a perfect distance from the old town, a short walk in (10min) while avoiding the late night noice. The hotel is really nice with a good pool and sunbeds that are included in the room rate (unusual for Italy). The only negative part was the breakfast. Many choices if you like sweets but nothing healthy and steady. The scrambled eggs were made from powder and were not good. However, despite the breakfast, we’d really like to come back to this hotel.

Very good hotel with its own beach. However, I would assign only 3 stars to this property (not 4 stars). The furniture inside the room is not solid but rather on a cheap side. Bathroom needs some renovation. Shower-cabin is too small (for 4 stars). Air conditioning system on the balcony was leaking. There was a permanent problem with electricity (lamps, receptacles were not working sometimes).

Hotellets beliggenhed var uden tvivl det bedste ved opholdet. Det lå smukt placeret i gåafstand til både stranden og byens hyggelige centrum. Området generelt var charmerende, med små lokale caféer, restauranter og en afslappet atmosfære. Desværre levede selve hotellet ikke op til forventningerne. Bygningen bar tydeligt præg af at være slidt og dårligt vedligeholdt. Værelset fremstod træt og havde flere mangler: Airconditionen fungerede kun delvist, hvilket gjorde det ubehageligt varmt om natten, og vandhanen på badeværelset sad helt skævt og virkede ikke korrekt. Der var også generel manglende opmærksomhed på detaljerne – fx slidte møbler. Morgenmaden var et andet stort minus. Udvalget var meget begrænset, og kvaliteten var desværre langt under standard. Brødet var tørt, og de æg, der blev serveret, var både kedelige og overtilberedte. Det virkede generelt som om, morgenmaden blev lavet uden særlig omtanke for smag eller præsentation. Alt i alt var det en skuffende oplevelse, hvad angår selve hotellet, men det blev heldigvis opvejet en smule af de skønne omgivelser og den dejlige stemning i byen.

They let us check in early and helped us get a 2 hour taxi when the trains went on strike. Everyone was great. Dinner starts later so be prepared for most restaurants to open at 8 pm

Servizio da rivedere completamente (attese infinite per la colazione, poco personale rispetto al numero di ospiti). Colazione scarna. Comodi il lido ed il parcheggio. Camera e bagno piccoli rispetto al prezzo pagato. Struttura carina nel complesso.
