Inside the walls of the palace so will need to carry/pull luggage part of way. Great location to wander Split. Front desk staff helpful. Good breakfast variety.

The staff was so incredible. The parking situation was a bit challenging ( to say the least) for us but the most beautiful girl Dreams quickly rectified my parking woes and got the trip off to a great start!!!

Our stay in Split old town

We loved the hotel location and the staff. It is however very difficult if travelling by car and suit case. Parking is far and many steps to climb with the suitcase. It would have been a total disaster not for the help of staff specifically Ivana.

What a beautiful hotel and room! We were on the top floor. The room had character and a lovely balcony with an amazing view! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Small room. Some have coffee makers and some don’t. There are not any extras at this hotel. The rooms are however very clean and quite comfortable. The location is AMAZING !! The breakfast is made to order and very good. We asked for extra pillows (you get one per person) and extra towels. They had no problem bringing them for us. Great little hotel.

The property was literally in the HEART of the Diocletian palace. If you’re looking for a stay surrounded by culture, beauty, and great food, this is it! Having said that, you’re staying in a very old building surrounded by busy tourism. The air conditioning wasn’t optimum but was comfortable enough. It is very difficult to get your luggage to the property so call the staff to help you if you need.

Staff were very friendly and was so nice we could leave our luggage in the lobby area all day after check out as we had a late flight. Location is very central. Only ding was that our room in pictures looked like it had a balcony area and we didn’t.

I would have given a higher rating if it wasn’t for the terrible internet service. In 2025 having poor WiFi is just not acceptable. Aside from this, the hotel is great. The location is right inside the palace a few steps from the cathedral, temples of Jupiter, cellars. Everything about the location is fantastic. The staff is super friendly and provided very good recommendations. The room itself was on the small side but this is normal for the location.

The hotel location was excellent being in the palace grounds. Staff were all really friendly, spoke excellent English and always willing to help. Breakfast options a little limited. Cleaning of rooms wasn’t completed until later in the day, possibly due to high turnover in rooms and sometimes missed, this was raised with reception and resolved.

The location was fantastic and we liked the quirkiness of where it was, in the palace. A couple of staff could have been a bit friendlier - some were really nice. Breakfast sometimes had stuff missing which wasn't replenished; one day lacked a working coffee machine, another day ran out of tea bags, another day - cornflakes ran out. The room we stayed in was a little run down and needed some maintenance - safe not working and not fixed (was reported), curtain rail seemed damaged, and we avoided using one of the lights because of the electrical fizzle sound coming from it when switched on! The transfers to and from the airport were fantastic, with both drivers being really friendly and helpful.
