"I stay here regularly and it's always a pleasure - easy check in, clean well appointed room and a really fabulous shakshuka. It's also in the perfect place as you can easily fall into anywhere nearby for a fab pint of real ale and delicious dinner. "
"Lovely stay in beautiful old house, close to the city center (10/15 min walk) with plenty of free parking on the premises. Room comfortable and clean. Free breakfast, which was buffet style in lovely dining room. Good selection of hot and continental style food although as with most breakfast buffets the hot food was a little dried up. Nice big garden out the back to explore and relax in. Can’t say enough about the great service especially the hard working Hungarian lady who was on reception all day and evening and then was serving us our breakfast! Would definitely stay again."
"We loved staying here. It really had a mix of modern and historical. Felt like a proper English hotel and had a tub in our room!! Hard to find in Europe. There was some construction but it wasn’t impacting our experience and it’s obvious they’re reinvesting in the property and up keep which makes me know I would want to stay there again in years to come. "The location within the cathedral grounds is a special feature. Lovely to wander around in the evening and easy for the restaurants.
Breakfast was fabulous with a choice of cooked or a large continental menu. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a smallish double and the shower was adequate but not a huge space. Overall a delightful experience.
