"You get what you pay for. This is a budget, one star hotel that is cheap. It is basic, cramped, and in no way attractive. You get somewhere clean to sleep, to wash and keep your stuff safe while you go exploring or on your business in Mumbai. There were some mosquitos in my room but it took very little time to sort that out, I checked and found no bed bugs. "Good location, but lack good facilities"

"Its an excellent budget hotel in an area of Mumbai that has a lot of life. I was the only white female I saw for days but had no troubles infact had an excellent time meeting people. The jewel in their crown is the restaurant downstairs- the food is spectacular. Even if you don’t stay come eat here and walk the neighbourhood - though I only kept to main roads and not the alleyways and slums. An overall excellent experience I would highly recommend. "

"The property itself was stunning but I had a number of issues that were not remediated satisfactorily. I booked a suite with a bath and on my first night I was given the wrong room being the smallest and most basic on offer. I was assured by 11am the next morning I would be given the correct room. At 12 this was still not the case so I went out for the day. I came back in the evening and they said they still couldn’t give me the right room so they upgraded me to another suite. "The staff were above and beyond helpful with meals, dry cleaning, and recommendations. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious each day. The room was large, modern, clean, and facing away from the noise of the streets. The view was lovely and private. I think we had a much better stay than our travel companions who stayed at another hotel 4 minutes away. I would recommend Hotel Amigo to anyone travelling to Mumbai. "I needed a room for one night and booked this online because an airport shuttle was listed as one of the amenities. I spent at least an hour at the airport looking for the shuttle and called the property several times. Finally, I got in an Uber to the hotel. When I checked in, I was told "no, no shuttle." I was put in a dumpy room overlooking the street with very loud street noise all night. I would not recommend this property. "
