Happy to have found this charming B&B

I opted to stay at this cute B&B instead of fighting with on-street parking in downtown State College. I am SO glad I fell upon this well-appointed, comfortable, and friendly establishment only a few miles out of town. I will definitely stay again when I'm in the area!

Springfield House is great. Beware of Hotels.com

The stay at Springfield house was fantastic. I am not too sure I like Hotels.com. I have heard stories about them taking money, making reservations and not advising the establishment that anyone was coming. The customer is then left with no place to stay, and does not it is not the fault of the motel/B&B.

This is an amazing place to stay. The owners were so warm and welcoming. Love the small town appeal and enjoyed the front porch with rockers. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitey be back.

My wife and I were very happy with our stay. We ate at Duffy's across the street. Very good food. Owners of the B&B were amazing cooks, and very knowledgeable on local history.

The owners clearly want guests to feel as if the Springfield House is their own. We enjoyed a leisurely evening in the parlor visiting with friends, and found the breakfast room both comfortable and cozy. The swing on the porch is a great place to watch the world walk by on Main Street (charming in its own right). Guests order breakfast "off the menu" so that they get exactly what they want --- a win for everyone. All in all, a wonderful get-away!

Lovely home, with great amenities and an ideal location. The owners were so welcoming. Morning started with coffee and warm State College stickies, followed by wide selection of “made to order” breakfast entrees. Highly recommend this B & B!

History, art, and fishing

The building and history are quite interesting. Books in the living room were interesting, Location was very good for our purposes - wife attending a class at Art Alliance in Lemont and husband fly fishing in nearby Spring Creek Canyon. Our room was sufficient - clean. Breakfast was fine. Coffee etc being available at all times was an extra. Would reccommend

A must stay!

Innkeepers Bill and Cheryl Speakman do an AMAZING job. They are so warm, friendly, accommodating, and hospitable. Bill's breakfasts are simply delicious! The rooms are clean and comfortable, as is the B&B overall. There's also a nice wraparound porch and other outdoor seating areas. I can't rave about the place enough other than concern that, by doing so, too many people will want to stay there and they won't have any availability for my next stay. I can't wait for my next visit to State College in order to stay here again!
