After a couple of days with all the windows open, it became tolerable. The relationship between the owners and the front desk is strange. For example, there were no toilet rolls in the apartment - front desk gave as a couple as a favour, but said it's nothing to do with them, and we're meant to message about that kind of thing. "If you’re in England I can’t imagine staying in a Holiday Inn on the outskirts of town when you could be in the heart of a 2,000 year old city, can cross the street and get an excellent meal or coffee, and see amazing architecture like the St Albans Abbey/Cathedral less than 200 metres from the door step of this historic 470 year old hotel that has seen it all and dripping in character and charm.
