We had a wonderful experience.. Staff were very polite and helpful.. Room was clean and very comfortable.. Only one thing.. There was a green light which stayed on all night so interrupted our sleep a bit.

This revived inn was a beautiful stop in stonehouse. We were a short jaunt from the Cotswolds. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom was elagent complete with slipper and robes. We ate all our meals at the Inn, as the food was excellent. The breakfast included, had many choices, but we really enjoyed the full english breakfast. Finally, the staff were friendly and relaxed. We will be comming back

Cotswold Gem
So pleased to have found a gem in the Cotswolds. The hotel set in a small village but all the delights of the Cotswolds on its doorstep...Slimbridge wetlands only 20 mins. away. The staff were so welcoming, led by Rachel and with husband Mark working wonders in the kitchen. Judging by the numbers in the bars in the evening, the hotel obviously has a reputation for quality and value. We will be back.

The only downside was the proximity to a fairly busy road and our room was roadside of the hotel . As the time we spent there was exceptionally warm and there was no air conditioning we had to leave the windows open at night and consequently it was very noisy. We were issued with a fan for our last evening which made the situation a lot better Apart from that the hotel was excellent.

The room was very nice but a little noisy as at the front.The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren’t.There was no WiFi signal in the room so glad it was only one night.The food was very greasy and not really good for this type of place but it was busy so must have been us.We would stay again

Great country hotel
A great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Hotel is full of character, great room and bathroom, well appointed. Friendly and professional staff. Offers food in the bar and a separate restaurant, both from same kitchen. Food quality and presentation very high. Breakfast was similarly good. Very much recommended.

Perfect stay. And superb breakfast.
What an impressive hotel the George is now. It has been beautifully and tastefully renovated and is just lovely. Very homely as it is not too open in the bar areas and the restaurant for breakfast was spacious and airy. The bedroom - junior suite - was a joy. Massive double bed (super King I think) very comfy, wonderful calming decor and a very smart brand new ensuite with huge walk in shower. Tea and coffee perfectly provided in a 'secret' wardrobe cupboard and an added boost fresh milk in the fridge. Staff were very friendly and gave clear instructions on access etc. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Lovely choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice and then great options for the cooked breakfast. I had the omlette with 'the lot' and it really was stuffed. My husband had the smoked salmon and scrambled egg. All cooked to perfection and also presented so stunningly. A very relaxing start to the day. Thank youThe George, we will be back.

The best cooked breakfast I've had in years. The staff were excellent. Very friendly. It was lovely to have real milk in the fridge in our room for tea and coffee. If only more places did such simple things.

We needed a convenient place to stay for a night when travelling through the Stroud area. We were very pleased with what we found, having had no prior knowledge of the hotel or location.

Brilliant
This pub and B&B is a real gem. Stayed there last week and was really impressed. The rooms are comfortable with everything you need. The staff are really friendly and helpfull, the beer is really good and breakfast was outstanding. The only negative was that there was a lot of traffic noise in our room, but you can't really blame them for that - they can't move move the pub or road! However the windows did have sliding shutters that would have cut the noise down, but it was too hot to do that. Overall I would highly recommend The Frocester George and it will be at the very top of my list of places to stay next time I'm in the area.

Perfect hotel
A great little hotel, staff very friendly and helpful especially with the snow. The bedroom was very clean, massive bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of parking. Highly recommend!

The Frocester George
We only had time to spend one night at the Frocester George and were very sorry that our stay was so short.The room was immaculate and very spacious. The bed was comfortable and super sized. The walk in shower room was spotless and looked as if it had only recently been refurbished.The female waiting staff were polite, helpful and friendly.We had breakfast and dinner at the Frocester and I would recommend both to anyone. The Frocester has some very good suppliers if the food we had is anything to go by. The menu was good. This is a small hotel but it punches above it's weight.

Great find will definitely be back.
A great job done of renovating this old country Inn. Never large rooms with great showers. Good food breakfast was perfect. Top it all with great value for money.
